I really enjoy Infinty wards work on cod4 and the upcoming MW2. However I also share some respect for Cod world at war. By the way. Your user name is going to annoy a certain someone.
Who would be offended by my name huh?
Don't worry, you'll know when he comes back has a real grudge against halo.

Great, good to know my name alone can tick someone off.

Seeing as I play both games constantly but I hate them with every fiber of my sole I will say IW. It's just an overall better game

They were so similar to me that I always assumed the same company put out both of them. There is really nothing drastically different between the two outside of the weapons. Good games though.

Infinity ward make the better call of duty games, as well they should, being the founders. However, I felt that World at War was a real redemption for Treyarch from mediocre beginnings, and I hope their future attempts at the franchise see similar improvements.

I'm in two minds. I LOVE COD:WAW and everything it stands for. I love the DLC and the Russian side of the single player was good. I hated the Marines part with a passion.

The story on COD4 was ace and all that, and had a few more memorable characters, but it's online support was shocking, and I felt it became far too repetitive, as well as people glitching left right and centre.

If COD:MW2 is good, I'll side with IW, if it's a big batch of false promises, Treyarch win.

I own a copy of all the Call of Duty games (the real ones, not the expansions and not cod 2 big red one) so i have been able to form a opinion of my own.
I think that Infinity ward make the best cod games because they deliver a much more polished gaming experience.

It's my opinion.

IW brings a much more intense and cinematic campaign and they are also the ones who make the main multiplayer innovations, and out of all the CoDs, CoD 2 for the 360 was the best, just my opinion, although CoD4 and 5 were pretty good too, 4 more than 5.

Until my copy of CoD 4's multiplayer starts magically working or Modern Warfare 2 turns out to be a good game, Go Treyarch and their Axis of Evil Zombies

Infinity Ward, all the way. Call of Duty 3 does not exist in my book, and World at War simply felt like an adaptation of Modern Warfare to WW2.

They are both good, it's just that each game (MW and WAW) feel a bit different. Which is good, games that feel the same generally aren't fun.

I like the series so far, every developer has done a good, enjoyable job.

(And MW2 will be the best game ever to exist ever)

*cough*

Infinity Ward gets my vote. 1, 2 and 4 were brilliant, some of the few military based shooters I really enjoyed. I really did not like 3 to be honest, it felt so unfinished and with it being the only CoD game not released on PC, I was put off it a bit. I know that's a slightly petty complaint as I do own consoles, but it just didn't feel right to me. World at War did impress me a bit though, I could tell a lot of effort went into that game and I have to give them props for that.
