I'm actually kinda serious about this, I think I would be the guy trying to save people and stuff. So I guess "Hero" will do for now. Though probably one like the guy I played in Fable: The Lost Chapters. I will always try to help, but if it's my life or yours, you're a dead man.

I'd start up a settlement and get grouping people together, organising a form of currency, setting laws and punishments and defences. Get some leisure going and a patrol rota and work rota working until the settlement is large enough. I would take a front line stance and get my hands dirty and even send out patrols to offer this salvation to loners and stragglers; forming alliances with other settlements.
Most likely a zombie. That's what I get for living in a densely populated center of civilization.
