imo Nintendo did indeed have some great stuff... but it didn't interest me personally, now stuff to do with Fable 3 was also rather interesting... but I didn't think Microsoft's event was that brilliant, so I'd hafta go with Sony

Yea. That does look very cool. I want in but I'm not willing to pay a monthly fee for it.Dana22 said:Warhammer 40.000 Dark Millenium did.
you and me both dude Msoft really dropped the ball. But as I said in my OP my vote goes to sony for among other things bringing back the twisted metal and announcing Infamous 2.Fantastic Foxkins said:I was really hoping Microsoft would have something special this year but they were a disappointment. Nintendo completely stole the show this year, they got my vote.
Trust me I have had the misfortune of forking out cash for those motion plus things, besides its not like they couldn't come with it in the first place, and I checked my set-up with your input and there is no difference top or bottom of TV setting.DustyDrB said:If the Wii controls are unresponsive for you, it's a probably with the way you set it up. I have never (really, never) experienced this in the four years I've owned mine. I have to wonder if you've even played a game with the Motion Plus attachment. Like I said, it's gotta be a problem with your setup. At the worst, you were sold a faulty controller.Lewboi03 said:You fail to recognise the fact that the Wii's motion control is by far the worst out of all of them and generally unresponsive, even with the 'motion plus' that they sold afterwards costing you 30 pounds for something that could have come with it in the first place, the fact is the Wii remote is bulky with the attachment of the motion plus, dangerous to those around you if you don't wear the irritating little strap and about as useful to the games you play on it as a ash tray is on a motorbike.Anticitizen_Two said:Nintendo. They announced about 20 new games as well as the new 3DS. Microsoft and Sony's biggest news was the motion control Nintendo has had for years.
You may be semi-surprised but I do agree with you in part. There is no denying that sequels make the gaming world go around at the moment and my two favorite games this year so far are Mass Effect 2 and Red Dead Redemption (although less of a direct sequel). So, hey, sequels are not bad and are sometimes warranted (unless you're Bioshock 2, but that's another topic entirely).Anticitizen_Two said:Ugh, I can't be bothered to respond to all of the anti-Nintendo fanboys, especially when all their arguments are the same. It gets tiring. Still, I'll respond to one who actually had an intelligent response (even if it was the same old argument in disguise) and another whose hackneyed, blatantly Yahtzee-stolen post particularly pissed me off.
Enjoy.
Name one developer who does not churn out sequels.Programmed_For_Damage said:Apparently we have different definitions of the word "new". Nintendo's idea of new seems to be either churning out sequels to existing franchises or resurrecting old franchises.
Still, if that's what the fans want.
Congratulations. That is such a clever argument! Nobody's ever blamed Nintendo for rehashing old games before! How observant! So much thought must have gone into that comment!RMcD94 said:snip
Seriously man, Nintendo just does what every developer does. Every single developer just makes sequel after sequel. Microsoft's big titles were a new Halo and a new Gears. Sony was all about LBP2 and Killzone 3. No company (except the indie ones) are actually making new games.
fixed your quote for you.J-Alfred said:Nintendo won because it catered to casual gamers and suprisingly made tons of money causing other companies to develop motion controllers in the hopes of attracting the casual gamer base that Nintendo had created as well as appeasing thier hardcore fans, though it seems to be the first more than the latter. We as gamers can only gain by this move.
I apologize if someone else already told you, but it's a remake of Star Fox 64. While I will definitely be getting it and it's SOMETHING, I still wish a brand new Star Fox had been announced for the Wii.fletch_talon said:I believe a Starfox title was announced for the 3DS though I don't think we know yet whether its a sequel or a remake.AidoruKami said:Even though they didn't announce a new Star Fox title like I had hoped, they DID announce just about everything else.
Nintendo indefinitely won this year. After years of crappy press conferences, they finally got an awesome one. Nintendo truly wowed me. Everything just looked so amazing. I really think there's no doubt with that one. None of the others come close.
And considering a Star Fox title wasn't even announced, that's surprising even to me.

Just so you know, Kid Icarus is for the 3DSpeterwolfe said:Alright, I'm over my rage of there already being a new DS. Is Kid Icarus going to be on that or Wii? My friend says the 3DS.
I totally vote Nintendo. I'm not that interested in much of what Sony has but Portal, which I can get on the other systems I own. Meanwhile Nintendo is bribing the inner fantasy fanboy with Legend of Zelda, Dragon Quest, Golden Sun, and Kid Icarus. Their remaking of Goldeneye is a little "meh" in my opinion.
I honestly didn't watch Microsoft and from what I'm hearing I don't regret it. Ubisoft was cool, loved the Rez 2 demonstration, great use of the Kinetic or whatever (though it was interrupted by the retarded G4 cameramen). EA was terrible because it's EA and nobody cares.
