She is the one who's pregnant. She has to carry the baby around for nine months. In my opinion she may decide if she wants that or not, either through the use of condoms, or if it's to late for that, by abortion.

By the way, are there any pro-lifers here who are pro-death sentence? Totally unrelated I know, but in a song (cookie for the name/artist) the artist pointed out that discrepancy in stance. I just noticed people here called themselves pro-lifers, so I got curious ;).

@DeadRow
I'm doing my best to avoid being mired in topics like these since nothing good ever comes from them. That said, I just noticed you're right. The OP's personal opinion and the actual story seem to have got merged together in my mind.

@SHARP
They're called Conservatives. Ahem.

A teenage girl have gets pregnent with her boyfirend because they didn't use a condom. The girl wants to do an abortion but her boyfriend says no and claims that it is his child as well. Should she be allowed to abort the child?
Let's see:
She doesn't want the child, the boy does. Mkay.
Soooooo, don't let her abort it but after birth she is no longer responsible for it, the boy is. And the boy gotta pay for her going through that pregnancy-thing (which usually involves a lot of pain)

This. Not sure about the whole "pay for pregnancy" though. It's their fault for getting pregnant, so when one of them want's to take responsibility he shouldn't HAVE to pay for it. Especially since he allready has to pay alot for singlehandedly raising the kid.

I really cannot care one way or the other. If the hypothetical female wants an abortion bad enough, she'll get one.

Please note, I am not pro-life or pro-choice. I just don't care.

But she has to go through labour and that's something she could avoid with an abortion. That's why I'd let him pay for her suffering. And yes, it costs a lot to raise a kid, but that doesn't compensate her for the pain.

True, but having to be paid to allow a baby to live? Not saying I have a clue about how pregnancy feels, and I obviously never will, but I think I would try to endure it, even if only to avoid the guilt of having a baby on my conscience. Meh, I don't know. I'll go find a happier topic to discuss. :p

The OP states that the girl wants the abortion.
So basically she is a surrogate mother for the boy (who wants to keep the child) and as such deserves compensation.

Honestly, I never have really cared about abortion...mostly because I know that no matter what I have to say / think about it, my words won't really matter.
