Poll: Why does everyone hate Rochelle? (L4D2 Question)

I disagree. I think that she's not liked because she is an unlikeable fellow. She selfishly takes health-kits well making up crap, she jokes when people die (and not in a "I'm really stressed out" way either), and she has no real personality. I don't mind it when she joins in on the banter, but she always seams to cut people off for no other reason then to cut people off. It could be racism and sexism that create some dislike but it wouldn't be as large of an impact. She's like that stranger at a party who doesn't leave you alone.Phoenixlight said:

Because she's as funny as a white can of paint..boring and bland. It's not because of her being a girl it's the personality of a stick i had the problem with.

I disagree with the corny-line issue. Sure, most of the dialogue can be corny, but she fails at being funny or interesting when talking about delivery. Nick and Ellis are comedic gold when they talk. It seems like every line they say is either Nick being a smartass or Ellis being a jackass. They both work great. Coach is a bit lacking by comparison, but even he has a good line or two that makes him worth listening too.
Also, Rochelle just isn't nearly as hot as Zoey.
Lastly, what makes her stand out as being interesting? She doesn't have any real interesting personality quirk, amusing background, or personality that makes us interesting in playing as her. Granted, I don't think the first game did that too well with their characters, those characters just came off as more likable right away whereas L4D2's cast took a while to grow on me. Now whenever I play L4D, I get sad when I don't hear Nick's smartass remarks or Ellis' bullshit.

i don't hate her i just don't care for her,cuz if she gets nocked down by a hunter ohhhh boy do you know about it,also the diolog that isn't screaming lack any real personality.That's just why i don't care for her
I don't hate Rochelle, I just thing she is more poorly developped as a character than the rest of the team. I mean coach is thefatherly figure, who is jolly yet stern. Nick is the caring rogue, with a strong distrust for authority. Ellis is the down to earth teen, who enjoys a simple life of hanging with friends and other leasurly stuff.
Rochelle is...a girl. And african American....Thats really all that sets her apart.
