I wouldn't

Guys serious question here though, why is everone bitching about the price? $14x12= 168 at very most that's the price of what? three of four games? (excuse If I'm wrong, back in NZ the supciption would be $30 so 30x12=360 that's three new relesase games at $120 each)

Why would you play it willingly to begin with?
Because it's not actually a bad game, actually.
Oh but it is. Ashamed as I am to admit it, I actually tried it once, made it to about lvl 30 as a warlock, then I realized how shitty the game really was and swore an oath never ever to play it again. Ever.

Got up to level 30 with my Kickass Dwarf. Then realized that I was on fire and had to stop.

I played WoW about a month last year, just because I don't like slating games until I've at least tried them, and I thought it might as well, must have some merit to it if so many people play. It was a decent enough game, but at least for me got very repetitive fast, and I couldn't justify spending money every month on something I wasn't enjoying that much.

I'm actually totally impressed by the amount of people that said they quit willingly. I mean, I did too after I realised the first expansion was shite but wow, this totally contradicts the whole addiction thing. Unless of course, everybody is lying.

You really can't talk much about how good or bad an MMO is until you got to either top level or had any big expirience grouping with people... and as far as I know, that "part" of the game, grouping, in the "old world", was kind of dead for about 2 years.
Well I shouldn't have to play through the game to be able to judge whether it's a good game or not.
That's like saying you can't complain about your life sucking, until you're dead. I think a lot of people would beg to differ.

I quit a few weeks after the first expansion, playing the game without someone to talk to is horrible.
Almost 2 months ago, a friend got me back in to the game and I joined his guild, the game is a lot more fun when you're able to talk to people.

It's not.

It is, however, a terrible MMO. It's much like Halo. Halo isn't a bad game, but it's a terrible FPS.

....the main thing for me was the subscription fee...why the fuck should I pay nearly £90 a year on a single game, when there are plenty of other enjoyable and addictive games that I only have to pay £30 in my entire life.
Exactly why I've avoided the game all my life. I don't want to feel tied to a game, I just pick up and play a game when the mood suits.

Once I hit 70 and the game said I had to grind for gear in order to grind for better gear to raid with, I said thanks, but no thanks.

Shhhh. Now everyone knows I used to play WoW. I'm ruined!
/plots evil plan.

I quit due to me falling out with my real life friends about problems in the guild we ran. I thought why on earth should i play something that actually affects me outside in my real life, games are meant to be fun.

Quit and i never regretted it.

The Barrens that bullshit was insane. After listening to a bunch of 12 year olds who discuss having sex with a goat as an achievement I no longer was interested.

My first playthrough was kinda ruined by my friend, who was helping me power-level, when my original intent for playing was getting back into the lore after finishing Frozen Throne. After topping off my first main, it just became about the grind and running instances. Two years of that kinda wears you down.

I don't regret playing it, though. More good times were had than bad. Just depends on who you shack up with.

Okay, how much can you say about any game after playing one single mission? Preferably an introduction mission where almost no abilities and units are unlocked?

And when you complain that your life sucks, you really complain that it sucks NOW. Not overall. Because you haven't lived it yet.
You can hardly call lvl 30 one mission, seeing how as lvl cap was at 60 then. so it was technically half the game.

Well anyway, there's really nothing anyone can do anywhere to keep me from hating WoW with every cell in my body, We'd better agree to disagree at this point.

I would (and did) quit WOW because I capped my level and ran out of things to do.

I quit WoW, because it frightened me how much time i ended up spending playing the game unknowingly, i would just get absorbed into the game and 8 hours later, i'm like 'eh? o_O'

So i quit it, not because i dislike it, but because i need to focus on my art and my violin more really...
