We will never be a one planet as you describe it but I believe that one day we will be a peaceful united planet.Madcat75 said:Interesting question this, will we ever get rid of the countries we know and use the planets resources for the good of all the people on the planet and not for just a fortunate few who live in a certain part of the planet.
That sounds like a half baked, poorly explained internationalist philosophy. I actually support internationalism but I know that man kind is too selfish to ever achieve anything like that; at least not for thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of years of evolution and war. The only way something like that could ever work is with the complete breakdown of all society and putting everyone on the planet back to stage one. Even then, it would take complete unity on the matter and require extensive guidance towards the final goal.Madcat75 said:Interesting question this, will we ever get rid of the countries we know and use the planets resources for the good of all the people on the planet and not for just a fortunate few who live in a certain part of the planet.
We're barely united within a town. Scratch that, we just had our municipal election.Madcat75 said:Interesting question this, will we ever get rid of the countries we know and use the planets resources for the good of all the people on the planet and not for just a fortunate few who live in a certain part of the planet.
Sad really, how optimism and realism never go hand in hand.Psychicflash666 said:The optimist in me says yes, but the realist in me says no.
