I would, it sounds pretty cool actually, but I dont have the money right now to pay for things I might not necesarily need/use.

NO I WILL NOT.
And I am very much against it....
One of the things I liked most about the escapist was the fact that it was free. Not just because I'm a cheapskate (Which I am, or more precisely, I'm against paying over the internet), but because it made everyone equal, and your title was awarded based on your contribution in words, not money. The only current feature that I would actually like is the Member only forums... And perhaps the member only content (but that really depends on what exactly the member content is).
But In the near future, I can see a divide forming between the two groups. The Paying 'elite' and the poor unpaying 'peasants' such as myself. Losing some of the features of the site I can live with, but not the most vital part if the site, The community spirit.
I guess I will have to wait and see.

Unfortunately, my job isn't very well paid, so no.
I'd like to support the Escapist but I need to save my money.

The Badge doesn't look that pretty
Custom Title. My e-peen is small, I like it that way.

High Quality Videos, for shows that last on average 8 minutes and come out once a week I see little use for it.

The ads here don't bother me.

The 'special' forum is troubling as I think it will cause a gap between members and may become an elitist forum. You have user groups for that in my opinion.

It's a no from me but it is a good business idea.

No.

I don't begrudge them it or the right to try and make money, but I didn't see anything on it I thought worth handing over money for. If things that are currently free start getting locked out to non paying members, I'll be finding a new website. If not, all good.

Meh, I'm content with what I've got now. I agree with what people are saying about the quality of video series now but meh, I just don't watch them. Also I do agree with people saying it's suspicious, there's something about it that makes me wonder why they haven't done this premium membership thingie before. Do they suddenly need our money..?
I know there's something awesome hidden behind that membership wall but I'm really not fussed.
And bets on how long it takes for the premium members to start rubbing it in... :(

Don't see any advantage to it. If they cut off ZP or Doraleous, I might care, but if it's just the forums, that's probably for my own good.

For that price nope, £6.50 for stuff I can live without, then up to £13. Badge, custom title and exclusive forum would be nice but it wont be the end of the world if I don't have them.

Chance of winning a competition is tiny and I didn't even realize there were ads on this site. I don't care about backstage stuff or high quality.

So to me it's alot of money for nothing. I would love to support the site but thats a little bit like MW2 DLC for me. (had to get a MW2 reference in here somewhere)
