Definitely not. Looks like mediocre shite.
(I'm really hoping to be pleasantly surprised upon it's release, though)
That would fall under the option Maybe, which isn't available.

Nah. I have never played a single Duke Nukem game, so I don't see the appeal if I'm honest.

Not unless it's the greatest, bestest, largest, mindboggliest most epic and fun FPS ever that redefines the genre in a similar manner to Doom.

Bet on Duke? Not on this lifetime.

No 'maybe' option??

As with anything, I will check it out if it gets enough good reviews. Otherwise I am not bothered.
When it comes to Duke there is no maybe :D

I'll wait until a lot more information comes out. Not nearly enough info has been released to know if it's any good.

Wow, the Escapist is refusing to even allow opinions that counter its hard-assed view on Piracy. Classy, folks.

OT: Nah, it's probably not going to be very good.
Gearbox/Take-Two might want to buy advertising space here in the future. Why would they do that if 50% of Escapists have openly admitted they're going to play it without paying for it?
Oh, right, I forgot the users was responsible for selling ad space. I'm just saying software 'piracy' isn't the black and white debate that The Escapist regularly portrays it as and they should be tolerant of points of view that don't fall in line with theirs.

And hey, look! Half of the Escapist says they flat out don't want to play DNF. I'd say that's worse than wanting to play it without paying for selling ad space.

I wont buy it, but I'm sure my brother will. When I told him that it was actually coming out he was speechless.
So I will probably play it. But time will tell, its not out yet after all.

I still don't understand the piracy thing is not an option here, but I don't really care that much. The thing that intrigues me is the percentage. At the beginning more than 70% said they won't buy the game. Only recently it's been above 50% but not that much.

Well, to be honest: NO.

It doesnt seem to be that good, it's just a basic shooter.

I never played any of them or heard much about them until Forever was announced a few days ago. So I honestly don't know what the big deal is. I looked up some old gameplay videos and it just looks like another FPS. Probably my least favorite genre (that or RTS).

Duke Nukem is one of the best shooters and it's part of the childhood of most people here. It was 3D, it had awesome weapons and pure ridiculous macho shit one-liners. But that was popular at the time. One of the more famous ones is "It's time to chew some bubble gum and kick some ass... and I'm all out of gum.". This one sounds funny to me even today :). For now, besides nostalgia, we hope for a FPS, where you have and can carry more weapons than eyeballs, no regenerating health, no cover system, just pure genocidele fun like in Serious Sam or Painkiller.

Yes, I enjoyed the older Duke games and I hope that DNF is just as fun.
After GT5, there isn't too much I am overly interested in getting besides Duke.
