Personally, I think edginess is the second-easiest thing in the world to pull off, right after gratuitous sex-appeal. It takes a lot more skill (and attracts a lot more of my attention) to handle it with intelligence and subtlety (e.g. Gus Van Sant's Elephant is a monotonous, poignant, disturbingly even-sided depiction of spree-killing, and one of my favorite movies).
So far, nothing indicates that Hatred is making even a token effort in that direction (in fact, it seems to pride itself on being as brain-stimulating as a lobotomy). So no, I'm not interested.
