Looks like Postal (the first one) with updated graphics (though no that updated, especially that hand animation during the intro). I'd like to try it out of curiosity but sod's law is it wont run on my laptop. Cant help but feel we've seen all the game in this short trailer though!

I've heard rumors that its possible to beat the whole game without killing anyone, and if its true I will hail it as one of the greatest achievements in interactive story telling of our age.

You could complete Postal 2 without killing a single person (it was pretty fucking difficult mind) but it could be done, and you got a special message if I recall rightly. Think there was also a report on the Escapist some point ago about a guy who completed Fallout 3 without a single kill.

It also doesn't really make it sound like it's actually fun.

It's the dialogue, and the style of narration employed. It doesn't sound accidentally bad. It sounds very carefully considered and deliberately bad.

I could be wrong, but this smacks of satire to me.

I hope you're right Mr Guppy - but I fear that even if it is, that's not the way it'll be received; whether Poe's Law is invoked or clear author intentions are over-ridden by fingers-in-ears willful ignorance.

Pretty sure Six Days In Fallujah got coverage from national media and protest from the relatives of the deceased who were directly involved in the fighting. As far as I can tell, HATRED just has hissy fits on the internet.

No. That game looks horrible, and I'm not referring to the technical aspects(though there's nothing impressive about the game-play or appearance that caught me eye either). I couldn't stomach playing something like that, let alone enjoy it.

Glad to see the right option won out. I will not be buying Hatred. Not because it's edgy, or misogynist, or violent. Because it looks like a bad game. It really just looks like a poorly made isometric 3rd person shooter in black and white.

Oh, and it would seem the developer has been creating threads on sites like 4chan and 8chan(the latter of which I browse regularly) in a move of viral marketing. Ultimately stupid.

Ok, let me put it like this... when I enjoy videogame gunfights, the emphasis for me is FIGHTS. Battles. If I'm pointing guns at people, I want them pointing guns back, trying to kill me. (or at least shambling/zerging towards me with the intent to give my internal organs a quick airing).

Shooting civilians is not what I'm after. Yes, I played through no Russian. I didn't shoot anyone till I had people trying to kill me. Any game that features unarmed, defenseless people running around has me bring very careful where I fire to make sure I don't kill anyone who isn't an enemy.

This game is offering me nothing I want, and honestly making me feel a tad queasy.

I think it's a pretty clear case of a developer thinking "lets make a really controversial game that will get a lot of attention and probably sell pretty well too because all the 15 year olds want to prove how badass they are." It's a fucking joke and I don't understand the appeal of something like this.

I've already played an isometric shooter. And tell me this. Does this game have Space Marines, Orks and Tyranids? No? Sounds like an inferior experience. And the original experience was already pretty bad.
