Lately there has been alot of fuzz at my school (mainly by me) about Star Wars: the old republic.
I cannot wait to try it, I myself have yet to decide a class to play but I supose Ill go for Sith Inquisitor or Jedi Councelor. What about you?
Will you buy it?
What class will you play?
What do you want to see in the game?

I wan't to see player owned space ships, all new force powers, companions and several playable races. the companions have allready been confirmed, and it will resemble to KOTOR in some way but I hope we will get a little Galaxies in it as well. and of course some suprising all new contents.

No, but only on the moral grounds that it's an MMO.

I still refuse to pay £40 for a game only to have it immediately demand more money for the questionable privilege of getting to play it.

Lol, it's true. but as an already heavy MMO gamer I say that if this gets as good as I think it will Im giving up WoW.

I might play it if it works on my computer; my computer can hardly run older games...
Only for the free trial, though (if they have one).

Maybe, it depends a lot on if they have a free trial. I haven't looked into anything on the game really, I like being ignorant when I begin to play MMO's because it's fun being a noob.

I'll wait for a trial.
My usual MMO approach, try it first unless it's less than £10.

Shouldn't be too long before some sort of trial comes about, and before that I'll have heard a lot of the good and bad points so I'll know what to test for myself.

I'm not doing much in terms of anticipation: I'll get it as soon as it comes out and be awed by all the stuff I didn't find out beforehand. I'm really looking forward to it, and it will most likely be my first MMO. It depends on whether it comes out before or after Final Fantasy XIV.

Nope. Not because the premise is bad, it sounds awesome, but the time of my life I most regret is my time with WoW. if someone can genuinly give evidence that it's not a spectacular grind-fest (which it WILL BE) then sign me in, but frankly I'm not hopeful.

EDIT: Although if any company can drag an MMORPG away from grind and into a trully interesting premise, then it is definately BioWare. So I suppose that all hope is not lost!

EDIT OF THE EDITED POST'S EDIT: And I will play the free trial, just on the fact that I am still, despite my greatest efforts, an optimist, and have hope. Hopefully the inevitable dissapointment will crush that.

If it wasn't MMO, yes, I would play this. But I don't play MMOGs.

I guess I'll have to stick with Mass Effect for my force fix.

Definitely, the previews look kickass.
And everyone around me is going to play it. You can call it "peer pressure" if you like.

No but I got a question. If Knights of the Old Republic was KOTOR, pronounced as it looks, how are people going to say/pronounce SWTOR as an acronym?

As much as I loved KotOR and KotOR 2 I can't stand MMOs so no, I probably won't get it. Unless they don't charge a monthly fee, then I might check it out.
