Poll: Will you Purchase Saints Row IV?

Hey there guys,
So as the title says, Will you purchase the new game Saints Row IV?
I totally will, Being the president of United States and being the gang boss sounds totally cool to me.
The main thing that disappointed me was that Saints Row IV's map going to be exactly the same as the Saints row the third map.
Also, the graphic is the same, but i could deal with it.
So, What do you say?
If you will, there's something special that made you want to purchase the game?
if not, did something disappoint you?

Same map? Meh, I can get over that if the rest of the game is really well done. Can you imagine how cool it could be defending that badass Burns Hill nuclear reactor crib against alien invaders? Pff, who needs fusion-powered laser blasters, I got me a F-ton of bullets and a Fission-based fortress; Come at me!

Well, I watched an LP of the third game and it struck me as being extremely fucking shitty. A GTA-style game that stands out because it goes over the top with silliness. From what I've read, the fourth game will be even more absurd. No thanks, that isn't for me.

Yeah I'll buy it. I really enjoyed Saints 3 and this looks pretty cool as well. The absurdity is what makes these games fun! Basically they can throw in any idea no matter how ridiculous b/c there are no narrative constraints anyway. So you never know what to expect in a Saints game.

It wasn't about the silly garbage for me. I didn't go around thwacking old ladies with a giant purple floppy dildo while wearing a hotdog suit, I put on a badass fedora and sunglasses and fought the endless hordes of gang members with a pump-action shotgun.

It's a very capable GTA-sandbox. GTA IV really doesn't do anything that Saint's Row III doesn't besides be gritty and edgy. And all the cars in GTA handle like shit. Loved both though and replayed them both multiple times.

Well, I rented SR3 from Gamefly and have been playing it non stop for 2 days. I prefer SR3 over GTA4, but I will probably rent the next Saints Row and buy GTA5. A little bit tight on money at the moment.

I can wait 2-3 years till all the dlc comes out and its all bundled in a sale, otherwise I don't think so.

I also prefer SR over GTA4. And I'll buy the GTA V, wait a bit, and then buy the SR4. But before i'll buy the SR4, i'll watch few reviews of the game.

I don't know if I'll buy it at launch, partly because I don't know what their DLC practice is going to be and if it's going to be as bad as Saints Row: The Third then I'm just going to wait for a full collection and purchase it all together. But I really enjoyed SR:TT, so yeah, I'm interested in Saints Row IV. Especially interested in seeing what they're actually going to be doing with the super-powers, because I've always wanted a super-hero sandbox that let me create and customize my own hero with a really in-depth level of customization.

Yeah after Saints 3 and Sleeping Dogs I really noticed this as well. I played GTA4 years before these games so I never really noticed when playing it the first time but after wanting to recently replay GTA4 I just couldn't get into it anymore. The cars just feel so....floaty. Like they are made of cardboard. Shooting mechanics aged poorly as well(espescially the aiming). GTA5 has a lot to live up to now that there are vastly superior games to GTA4 on the market.

I think the cars handle is going to be different in GTA5, and R* tried to make the cars handle in GTA4 too realistic, and the results were bad, really bad.

Enter the Dominatrix expansion was cancelled and then announced as a SR4 merge before Deep silver got their hands on the IP, it was THQ who did this. Also, graphically speaking it hasn't really improved since SR1. Apparently SR3 featured an upgraded, modified engine version of the one featured in SR2.

Again, also, SR4 has been in "development" since SR3 was released.

Probably not. I really didn't like Saints Row 3 so I probably won't get this. I'd rather use my money on getting GTA V.
