SR IV was supposed to be a DLC for SR3, then Deep Silver wanted to make money, so they made the SR IV as a new game, which is why the graphic is still the same. And I think they could make the SR IV way better, if they were working on the game a bit more
That's actually incorrect.

SR4 was being made alongside the SR3 DLC, at which point they decided to merge both games into one, and spend more time polishing it. SR4 is not just repurposed SR3 DLC, its SR3 DLC that was merged with the original SR4.

Also, as this guy pointed out

What?

Enter the Dominatrix expansion was cancelled and then announced as a SR4 merge before Deep silver got their hands on the IP, it was THQ who did this. Also, graphically speaking it hasn't really improved since SR1. Apparently SR3 featured an upgraded, modified engine version of the one featured in SR2.

Again, also, SR4 has been in "development" since SR3 was released.
It was THQ, not Deep silver.

So I keep asking myself
why the graphic is still the same???

Because they wanted to focus on making content, rather then making the game look pretty.

Already put in my preorder on Steam, that game just looks awesome. SR3 was so much better than GTA4, even more of the same would've been fine.

A. They realized that graphics are not worth the amount of effort that Crytek puts into them.

B. Graphical plateau. Putting more money into graphics gives back less and less improvement.

OT: YES. YES PLEASE. WANT.

Nope.

Had a whole lot of people tell me SR2 was the shit. Bought it. Turned out to be merely shit.

Saw SR3. Thought it looked alright. Turned out to be shit.

Here comes SR4. Yeah... no.

Nah, I can live without it.
Plus there's a bunch of stuff coming out soon, and that's going to keep me busy plus we'll probably be picking up the legendary version of Skyrim so...yeah. That's going to eat me alive.

I liked Saints Row 2 aside from the consoles but loved Saints Row: The Third.

The only thing I think the second wins on is the customisation, it was insane the amount you could do.

My copy of the fourth game is pre-ordered on Steam and to be honest the only thing I don't like that they've shown are super-powers. I hope that is an upgrade tree you can ignore. I don't know why but even in the mad-cap Saints Row universe, they just don't seem to fit.

Nope. Saints Row: The Third was meh at best. And Saints Row 4 looks like more of the same, but worse. I don't mind the game being over the top, but it lost me at the Dubstep gun. Because Dubstep hasn't been overdone has it?!

I preordered it on steam :D When I heard about the refusal of clasification I canceled it and asked a friend from the UK to do it for me. When the 23rd of August comes found I will play the shit out of it.

I'M FROM AUSTRALIA SO STOP RUBBING IT IN.

Nah, whatever.

Played a demo at PAX, was very, very unremarkable. Will be skipping it this time.
IMPORT IT! (Or get a friend to buy it for you)

Most assuredly. While I preferred SR2, SR3 not being as good is a far cry from it being a bad game.

I will, just likely not immediately. I love the series but Volition has been getting on my nerves with the overuse of DLC. Especially when they had over 20 costume packs in SR3.

No way I felt Saints Row the Third took the series in an aful direction and Saints Row 4 seems to be continuing that trend but to a larger degree.

Yeah I will probably pick it up once all the DLC is out and it's all together in one neat package. I picked up the second and third game during the Steam Summer Sale and have already put in over 30 hours into them (mostly the third because the PC port of SR 2 is junk).
Also, I feel like since no one else mentioned it that I should say that they are both in Deep Silver's Weekly Bundle for the next 12 or so days, so now is a great time to check them out if you haven't already.
