If your going to build on the multiplayer, I say, stop bull#$^^ing us and just make it multiplayer only. If your going to half@$$ the single player, don't even bother! If your going to make a game that is based only around the single player (I am looking at you Darkness), don't staple on a multiplayer either. Go one way or the other, unless your going to COMPLETELY comnint to both.

OT: The only games I've bought without any consideration at single player at all are L4D and L4D2.

Yeah. Like you I've only bought the L4D series for multiplayer. Single player alone isn't worth it.

Bought Halo and MW2 purely for multiplayer. Might get bfc2 for MP as well SP gets boring too easy.
Diablo 2 as well

Well I picked up left 4 dead 1 and 2, battlefield 2 and Team Fortress 2 solely with multiplayer in mind, so yeah pretty much. Keep in mind none of those games really has a single-player so I'm not sure if they really count for your purposes.

Yes I already have, Enemy Territory Quake wars, there is no single player at all, probably one of the best Multiplayer games of the decade.

Hardcore and completly shits on games like Call of duty and halo etc.

I have never bought a game just for multi player. I do play muulti player, but only when I'm finished with the single player.

My copy of TF2 came in the Orange Box, so that doesn't count.

Would I buy it for the multiplayer part? Maybe. Would I only play just multiplayer? Hell no. If there is campaign, not playing it is stupid and wasteful.

Edit: Oh, that ONLY has multiplayer? Yes, if it looked appealing. If I get a PS3, MAG likely will also be bought.

I...bought Modern Warfare 2.
I finished Single Player, I played Multiplayer for a while.
I eventually just stopped playing it. I sold it and got 22 dollars.

Multiplayer for me is generally the bonus to the single-player game. Only a few special games get the coveted spots on my shelf for "bought for multiplayer."

I buy PC games just for the multiplayer but not console games, with a few exceptions. It's mostly just multiplayer fps's that i stay away from on consoles.

Both bad companies I have only beaten the first level of campaign. I am also max level in multiplayer in both.
