No, beacuse I can't find a decent DVD ripper to rip the contenets to my computer. Plus I have seen every Zero Punctuation ever so I would probably never watch it. Oh, and its free on teh internet so why would I pay?

Hell no. Why on Earth would I buy a DVD filled with 3 minute comical reviews that I can watch for free with less effort? (walking to the dvd player, opening the tray, closing the case, sitting back down... takes too much effort)

I'd consider it, but only out of my desire to support independant media production. Which I could do by buying a shirt, really.

I like having solid copies of things, and I can only hope some of the money would go to the God We Call Yahtzee.

Yeah, I probably would.

No. Imagine this situation : You invite a person to your house/appartment so that you can impress her, and when she looks at your movies (WHICH SHE WILL!) She finds "Escapist Magazine presents Zero Punctuation on DVD".

First response she will have is : "Okay, what the hell is this?" so she looks at the back of the DVD case and sees a bunch of crap about Yahtzee and his angry rants on video games.

Second response is this : "Oh god, a video game nerd." She will then quietly put the DVD back on your shelf so you don't notice she's seen it.

Third response is being distant and bored all night and imagining that the second she leaves you will go join your stupid gamer buddies and be an antisocial nerd.

You drive her home and when you lean in for a kiss, the fourth response kicks in, DENIED! She politely comes up with an excuse (while actually thinking EWWWWW YOU NERD!!!), and walks into her building. A great night ruined by something you could have gotten for free on the internet.
Let's not generalize here... If I were on a date and I saw that the guy had an entire DVD of ZP vids, he would be getting laid that night. And then we'd break out the game consoles and Doritos, fight to the deaths, then have sex again.

And yes, I'm a girl. Nerds are hot.
The amount of people you just made happy right now is probably through the roof.

Anyway, on topic, i'd buy one. What makes you think that if he released some on DVD that they would be the ones posted on here anyway?

No. When things start being put out on DVD's they stop being free otherwise. ZP is funny but I wouldn't pay to watch it. I'd just go back to H*R or something.

I would only buy one if it had some sort of special features like videos for the extra punctuation(spoken obviously)

I would but I don't think there's really an appropriate time for me to watch a couple ZP's when my TV is right next to my computer. Maybe a "Best of" ?

Well, people apparently thought this thread was worth digging up a few months after creation, and the viewpoint is decidedly negative against it.

So here's another suggestion that's come to me: what about offering each episode for download, like Red vs. Blue or other web series? I'd pay $1-2 per episode to watch ZP on my iPod anytime.

I'd buy them because I'd want to watch them in order without buffering and ads and in my entertainment center. So long as they don't cost too much.

Watching a fifteen second ad before an episode is still way more convenient than having to get a disc, put it in the dvd player and cycling through a menu with a PS3 controller. I'd have to unplug my computer too since I only have one screen and ugh. No thank you.

Almost a two year old thread necro >.>

No, anyway, they're on the Internet for free and much easier to find a certain video.

Am I reading the years right? Cause that's the necroest necropost i've seen so far.

Anyhoo, if there's some really really good special features maybe, cause the episodes are already online for free.
