Poll: Would you consider yourself a regular here on the escapist?

No and no to both, which is a shame.
I was extremely active about 2 years ago and now I'm just... drifting I guess. I pop in from time to time, if I see something interesting I'll comment but that happens very rarely.
I made a decent group of friends on here, now we communicate via Twitter, texts and even face-to-face this place has become mostly redundant to me.

1. Yes, but only when I am sporting a Mao avatar. People don't even realize I am Fappy if I don't have Mao with me.

As for how well known I am, you guys tell me?

I doubt anyone would recognise me here, as I rarely post any forceful opinions and my avatar changes fairly often, but I would indeed describe myself as an active member. This place is basically my home in the internet, sheltered from the howling wastes of Youtube comments and protected from the bands of roaming trolls that infest other, less savoury forums.

I recognise you. I mean, I don't remember anything you've said, but I've definitely seen that avatar around.

As for me, I spend a ridiculously large amount of my time on the escapist, but I mostly only post if I feel, I'm adding to the conversation, so my post count is much lower than other people who've been here for about the same length of time.(I'm currently on track to getting the Neo badge in the year 2020). So I doubt anyone would recognise me.

I'm open to be proven wrong...someone?...anyone?

Never heard someone say that before. The vast majority of the time, I only pay attention to the avatar, meaning the people I recognise the least are the people that keep changing theirs. For instance, I recognise sassafrass's new avatar, but until this very thread, I didn't recognise it as sassafrass, because he'll always be the Dr. Cox guy to me.

1) Probably not. I mostly post in a couple user groups and avoid posting in the forums as much as I can. I love reading the forums but posting, eh.

2)I've been coming here everyday since sometime in 2008 barring days I've had no internet so I'd say I'm pretty active. I don't go one day without posting at least 3 times in the forums and quite a bit more in user groups so yeah, active

I don't need to be a Daystar, Sassafrass, Vault or MaxTheReaper to be happy with my level of activity and notoriety

Active? Sorta? I don't really participate out of the regular forums here. I actively get people annoyed when I say I don't enjoy certain games. Does that count?

I've been consistant with my avatar though, that might help. I know it helps me remember others.

Nope. Outside of the user review forum I'd say I'm pretty much an unknown.

I don't post a lot. I mainly lurk in the off topic section.

1. In the forum games I'm fairly well known, but the other forums? Fuck no. Though I do hope that my avatar is somewhat recognizable due to it being the only one (that I know of) on the Escapist that is identifiable as sideways.
2. I am fairly active, but again that's only really in the forum games.

I've definitely been here for a while, but I have a habit of dropping in and out of regularity on the Escapist. I suppose I've been lurking more than anything else lately, I might occasionally post a thread or reply to one (like so), but for the most part I just sort of hang out and observe.

Recognized obviously no lol my post count is terrible for my number of years here. I'm usually pretty closed about opinions and whatnot and prefer to see what others say(not all too different from how I am elsewhere).

As for Activity I come on the site several times a day just to check up on stuff and read news articles or the features. I also watch a fair amount of the content that comes in video form because I find it a good way to just relax.

2. I consider myself active. I come here pretty much everyday but I only post in a topic if I find it interesting or original. So it's usually one or two a day. (slightly under one if you divide the number of days I've been here by my post count.)

I recognize a few others though. Mainly through their avatars. So don't change them or I won't know who you are!

I've been visiting the Escapist on and off for since 2008, but don't actively post on forums since I prefer to observe rather than interact. On my previous account I didn't get anymore than 200 posts and I'd probably lose interest in posting on this one too.

I've been lurking here since Yahtzee first showed up on the sight and have been on here at least, though considerably more, once a week for the past few years. Most days include several visitations to the site and a few forum lurks for me per day but I almost never contribute. So take from it what you will o'lord and master lRookiel.
