Poll: Would you consider yourself a regular here on the escapist?

Despite how much time I waste spend on this site I'm not sure I can say I'm active because my post count is pretty low. I tend to read threads (spend a lot of time in R+P but I frequent Gaming, Off-Topic and Advice as well) and tend to only contribute if I feel like I have something of value to add. Or very occasionally when I want to vent on threads about relationships or similar.

Pretty much how I interact with groups of people in real life, really. Sit quietly in the corner and only pipe up when I feel it's necessary.

I doubt I'm recognised, although I recognise a few people here who've said the same so perhaps there's hope for me yet. It's kinda tempting to list names I've noticed over the years but it'd feel a bit embarrassing if they then went 'that's nice... I have no idea who you are, though'.

Although as a couple of you asked:

if you do recognize me then tell me, I'd love to hear about me some more.

I recognise you! You're the guy... with the name... that I recognise.

As for how well known I am, you guys tell me?

Again, I recognise the name, but I can't put a face... I mean... a posting tone to it. I've seen you around a lot, I'm sure, think I've even replied to your posts from time to time, but for the life of me I don't know what they were about.

Hmm yes and no I suppose. I imagine a few may recognise me, but otherwise I think I'm unknown. Though some may recognise my avatar, I don't know! You tell me! All of you tell me.

I'm not as active as I used to be. I'm still here daily, I just don't post as often as I used to.

1. Recognised? No, since I tend to wander off or barely post for weeks at a time, and I'm most active in threads about MMOs, which are something of a minority interest here.

1. Not sure, that's not really up to me to judge. I'm sure some people would recognize me and I'm just as some most wouldn't.

2. I think so yeah, most days I check in and make a few posts. Some days a few more than others. Lately I've got a new job though so with that my activity's gone down somewhat, would still consider myself pretty active though.

No and kinda.

1) Despite my bitchin' avatar and decently recognisable name, I don't post nearly enough to be recognised by anyone.

2) I suppose I am in a sense. I usually visit the Escapist every day, but on some days there won't be any content I'm interested in (these days only really check out Critical Miss and interesting looking news articles), and the forums will look pretty dead. On others there might be some interesting content, and I'll read it and the comments, then check out the forums for a couple hours. Really depends on how I feel at that moment in time.

All the same, I do have the 'Landmark' badge, so obviously I must be active to an extent.

I stop by the Escapist at least once a day, often more, and always make a pass of the forums. I don't post a lot, as you can conclude for my post count when compared to how long I've been around. I have no idea if anyone recognises me. I've had some heated debates with fellow Escapists in the past, but whether they're still around, or even remember who it was they bared untempered rhetoric upon, is anyone's guess. I hope not, I prefer the relative anonymity.

I consider myself as active as I will ever be. Days are too brief without sinking further time into internet habits.

Regular definitely, recognized I don't really know. If I am it's probably for being a dick since the most of the time when I'm quoted is about my lack of empathy. Or when I try to be troll as a joke but don't make it obvious enough I'm joking.

Used to be on here a lot, PC broke for the good part of a year so I was kind of forced to stop. Back now but I don't think I will be posting as much, I realized that while talking about games you're not playing them.

I would rather play and enjoy games then read people picking them apart and post in the same 20 odd threads, that reminds me ... when was the last "me3 ending" thread?

Not hating this site, that's what it's here for but I would rather be playing than being cynical.

Recognized? I don't think so, Sass once said he reads all my posts 'cos of the drunk pikachu but I don't know. Since people usually recognize avatars before names, I guess I would be remembered since I've only had 2 (the first was anima and lasted about a month).

I am indeed a regular visitor and poster on these forums. Although I'll never come close to competing with some of the people here, its a rare day I do not make some contribution.

When it comes to recognition, I know I am recognized by some around here, most of them regulars of the R&P section. But I do not know whether or not that recognition is widespread enough to count in terms of the OP's question.
