Discuss. Will there ever come a time in your life when you just drop the gamepad, throughout the keyboard and dump the Halo memorabilia? For myself I think I'll become a more serious gamer in the next few years but once I get older I suppose I'll just be a casual gamer showing off my once semi-pro skills to the kids. What about you guys?

As long as I still own a PC i'll be a gamer, even if I only play every so often. And there's no such thing as casual gamers, some people just play games that are easier to grasp or don't require as much time input.

I have a lot of love for games - but since i stopped beign a student time has not allowed me to complete many - games are longer - new ones come out I start them, never complete them.

I need to prioritise!!!

As long as games exist and I'm around to play them, I'll be a gamer. Unless the games are shite then I'll stop, but I'd probably load up some old a great ones.

I may put gaming on hold at times (I really want to travel around America for a year, hitch-hiking and the like) but when there's an oppertunity, I'll game for a while.

I had to 'quit' for a while because of school. That didn't work out, so I probably won't stop gaming. It's a hobby, and it's a matter of setting priorities.

I won't stop. Its fun, its a hobby, and one of the few things that I can do to get away from people. I've played games since I was four years old and I'll probably keep playing them until I'm old and decrepit.

Well, right now due to some issues with friends (mostly the lack of or when I actually get good friends they move away), I don't have much else to do...

I'll always game because it kept me from insanity during long periods of hatred and revenge. The lest I can do is keep the legacy alive.

If the whole "release half a game and make us pay for the other half through DLC's" thing carries on, I'm out.

I can't think of anything that'd stop me in the near future at least, so for now I'm gonna game as long as I still have fingers.

No. There is no reason to do so. I love playing games and I always will. Sure I might not play as much at times but I'll never just flat out quit

If I lose my fingers I'll make some new ones out of wood.

I really hope and want to see myself old and still gaming. I had a good laugh at the thought of me and my friends in a retirement home, sitting in our wheelchairs around our new playstation8/xbox324857234098 or whatever.

Of course, when I get a family of my own gaming will take a backseat. Prolly like my father who has time to play maybe 3-4 times a week but he's still going strong hehe.

Gaming is part of who I am, and I'll never stop being myself for the sake of anything. It's a passion, pretty much the same way that some want to read every good book or watch every movie they can. I've seen it evolve and grow and I intend to take part in its history, one way or another. I am currently working for its industry and I don't intend to stop either. There is so much to say with video games, and consequently so much to listen to and discuss. Those who aren't into gaming really don't know what they are missing.
