Initially I always said that I would stop if I ever lost my hands, however, rethinking that point I feel that I would be driven to learn how to with my feet. So the only other thing I can think of if some how me not playing games cured cancer.

If I got bored, sure, I'd stop. A hobby's only good so long as it occupies you.

That said, I'm not bored yet.

I do stop gaming, when I go to school, and sleep, etc.

On the whole I see it as a casual pass time, rather than a choice of lifestyle.

I think the only way I'd stop gaming is if my fingers/hands broke, but then I'd learn to be a weirdo and play with my feet.

As long as I have 2 thumbs (or reasonable facimiles, cyborg thumbs FTW) I will keep playing.

Currently I'm going through an on/ off phase. I game very little but I do still like to play it. I don't play much but I do want to do it more nowadays.

Great reference there. I have to agree. Unless games start getting bad or too expensive I see myself gaming for a long time.

I've already quit.

I've increased drumming, running, reading and pleasurable visits with the girlfriend. Soon college will continue, too.

...sometimes I grow nostalgic for games. That's when I stalk the forums.

I've pretty much quit out on console gaming...when my 2000-issue PS2 conks out that'll be it.

However, as long as I own a PC there will be something I'm likely going to want to play on it, from Total War to Elder Scrolls to stuff I find on SourceForge.

When my muscles get slower, weaker, and my reaction speed slows to the point where I can no longer compete.

Then I'll stop online gaming, and go back to my beloved turn-based strategy.

It's not out of the question. Esp. since the gaming industry hasn't impressed me much lately. It's almost like they're not even trying anymore. Then again I can hardly blame them, when us fans are damn near impossible to please and are constantly whining and belittling their hard work. Yes I'm looking at you Yahtzee.

Hell no. I'd never quit.
