Instinct might drive me to fight him. Then again its just as likely i would run away.

But i wouldnt have ot kill him, just stop him. And i did something to make him mad enough to try and kill me so i was probably sleeping with his wife or dog or something, so if i killed him they might say i was just rying to remove him from the picture so i could be with his wife and take his money.

Of course, if he tried to hurt a family member not directly involved i would have to fight him to protect my loved one. And in that case i could kill him if need be.

As a writer, one of my tasks is to experience new things so I can accurately and vividly describe them should the need arise. Taking a life would definitely help.

Also, I can only imagine that the experience would haunt and torment me, which is precisely what I need. Misery is fuel for creativity.

I don't know. Probably not, I'd try to subdue them, but I'd be in a fight against someone who was really intent on killing when my heart wasn't in it. I think, to win in a fight against someone intent on killing you, you have to really be intent on also killing them or at the least have a real desire to do them serious, disabling injury. Most likely I'd simply end up dying myself simply due to the fact that my heart wouldn't really be in the fight.

This isn't really that hard of a scenario because morally, it's in your right to defend yourself...

hell, even the -freaking law- wouldn't punish you for it.

To make a more difficult scenario, it needs to be far more controversial

Yes, I would. Then I would chop his god damned head off, stuff it full of cotton balls, and hang it on my wall.
Then, I'd piss on his headless corpse, as I lower it into the hole I dug in my backyard.
Then, I would go to sleep, needing it after the required physical exertion needed to mangle a corpse.

Hmm. Cotton balls? I'm not sure if I should take you seriously on that part.

Everyone knows that to properly preserve a human head, you should use Fix-a-Flat. You know, the stuff-in-a-can that you use to, well, fix a flat tire. Or even better, whipped cream.

And then I'd have it bronzed, so that I could proudly display my trophy on a pike outside my apartment door as a warning to others. I'd even decorate it for the holidays. Maybe a nice little pointy hat for Halloween, a Santa hat for Christmas...you know. That type of thing.

Well, all I have to stuff things with at my house are cotton balls.

From what I understand, you can only get away with this (and not be charged with manslaughter) if you maintain that you were afraid for your life. Even if the person was in your house, if you raise the level of violence (he has a knife, you take out a gun) you will go to jail.

That being said, if someone was even remotely threatening me or my loved ones inside my home, I would do everything in my power to prevent it.

if someone was in my house intent on killing nad it was up to me i probly wouldn be able to match the fire power or any gun. if he had a knife it should be easy enough to kick him in the chest or the hand holding the knife eaither to knock him back or knock the knife out of his hand. after that i dont see much reason to kill him if that goes to plan, but if it dosent go to plan i would have to sneak up on him and put him in a head lock or hit him rather hard on the base of his neck which should knock him out.

they way I see it...He's already broken enough laws, namely: Breaking and Enterting, Conspiracy to commite murder, Attempted murder, Attempted assault with a deadly weapon. And thats jsut to you, whether or not he attacks the police is another story. So either way he is going down by being sent to prison for the rest of his natural life or executed. So killing him would just hasten the effects.

Not to sound like a cold prick but thats pretty much the truth..

If it was my life in danger, I'd probably try to escape or reason with the person.

If my girlfriend was in danger, I'd rip out the person's spine and make them swallow it.
