Poll: Would you like a tail?

If the tail got a stinger like a Scorpion tail or contain a hidden organic blade or it's strong enough to lift or carry my weight than maybe. The tail should serve a purpose than being a useless body part.
I'll take an Alien tail, please. I don't care if it makes me look weird, I'll never ever be bullied. Problem, Mr. Gangster? How about I impale you on the tip? Yes, I thought so. You can give me YOUR wallet while you're at it, actually. 
I wouldn't mind one but I wouldn't go out of my way to get one either. I'll have a DBZ tail please.
Eh. If i got it for free, sure. I could go with a poofy cat tail. I bet my wife would dig it. ((or set me on fire yelling "FURF*G", but thats a scenario id rather not think about))

Yes in theory... (I had a pretty cool tail as part of a costume I made really. And it seemed about right in terms of size, though maybe it'd be more interesting if it was slightly bushier. Holo from Spice & Wolf comes to mind here.)
The problem with this though is that in reality, biology dictates if humans had tails they'd be pretty ugly.
Why, you ask? Because our closest relatives with tails are monkeys. And we are mostly hairless.
So imagine having a huge monkey's tail (remember proportions here. A typical tail is longer than the body of the animal it's attached to)
But... Without any hair on it. I can't imagine that looking all that appealing. (Cats are cute right? Well have you ever seen what a hairless cat looks like? >_>)
But, I liked my costume tail enough that if it were properly attached and I could actually move it that'd be pretty cool.
So... Yes, if I get to choose what kind of tail.
No if it relates in any way to normal human biology or evolution.

Not really? Too much potential trouble and pain for no real gain.
It would be hard to get used to it, initially; i would likely shut all my doors on it, sit on it akwardly, get in the way in general. Get pulled by annoying kids, get stepped on by passer-by, get sucked into machinery/vaccuum cleaners..
Plus what purpose does it serve? We don't really need it (hence why we lost it).

I don't know why but I reaaaaaaaally wanna tail, it's partly why I love Ao No Exorcist so much. Maybe it's just the years I put into DBZ, or maybe because I'm rather monkey-ish anyway. It's not a sexual thing either, like when seeing an anime character that's supposed to be hot with a tail I just don't care that much.

Yes I would love to have a tail, more specifically I would love to have a spider monkey tail. It would be like having an extra limb except soft, furry, and awesome.

Nothing wrong with some extra balance. Extra points if it were prehensile - that would be a whole other level of usefulness.

Precisely a prehensile tail, so it would have a practical use. It might not be as good as a second pair of hands, but it would certainly be useful.
I would only want a tail if it was long, prehensile, and tipped with a spike.

Oh HELL no.
Di you have ANY idea how inconvenient it would be? You'd have to modify all your clothes to have a hole for your tail, for one thing. And you'd have a lot of trouble sitting in chairs for another!
