I'd say we should have a vote, but people would probably just go for you.
Anyway, would you give out free kittens?
I dunno about that.
You're probably fairly well-known too.

And you have the added advantage of being a lady.
That'd probably get you the "desperate guy" votes.

It'll be close.
And no. I'll hoard them for my own benefit.

Yes. Think of it: No wars, reduced crime, free and better schooling...
And all for the small price of obeying my every command and being executed if you do not.
I somehow don't believe you. Maybe it's the "Reaper" part of your username or possibly your confessed joy in making people suffer.
Listen, suffering is hilarious. If you don't think so, you have no place in my new world order.

But surely with the world domination thing he could fix any niggling GCSE problems? Unless you desperately want to take the exam.

And hell yes i'd push that button! Remember kids delegation is your friend!
But, if you want, I shall use your question. So... when do you plan to topple the major governments and establish a world government under your rule?
I'm thinking Thursday.
Thursday is nice.
Can you make it Friday? I have a GCSE on Thursday Afternoon...
Surely he could "fix" any gcse issues?

And hell yes i'd push the button! Remember kids delegation is your friend!

Meh, ruling the world isn't for me or any single person. The duties should split up equally.

I'm more interested as to how I will take over the world rather than ruling it.

*sings that song from the Vodafone advert*

I can't even look after myself, never mind anyone else!
If I did, I'd be like, "Fuck it. Do whatever you want, but be good!"

Yeah!!! I feel I actually have the common sense that we need for Governments to actually implement good/useful/effective ideas on various issues. Mind you, I'm sure there'll be plenty of people out there wishing me dead if I did rule the planet.

It's English, so it matters to me. Otherwise, yeah.

I would press the button, but I wouldn't actually control the world. My "dictatorship" would first and foremost focus on giving every person on earth the equal rights and liberty they deserve as human beings. Laws would be limited to protecting the life, liberty and property of every citizen, and taxes would only be as high as would be necessary to support the operation of the state.

I believe this is the only kind of world government that could actually last in the long run. After all, laws extending beyond protecting each humans right to life, liberty and property are bound to be seen as unfair by SOMEONE when your citizens are from such a diverse background!

Anyway, I guess my view boils down to this:
I'm not God and I don't have THE solution, but I'm willing to give everyone out there the freedom to find the solution that works for them. For instance, if you believe in socialism, I wouldn't hinder you from forming a community where you could freely practice your ideology/belief, providing nobody is forced to become members and that members are free to leave at any time.

Yes, just so I could use slave labour to create a almost self-sustaining base on the moon (think enough air and systems to replenish it, food and other supplies and porn to last 200+ years) then live the rest of my life there after giving leadership to someone else. Should they get pissy about the whole slave labour thing and try to bomb my base, the giant frickin' laser cannon will pacify them.

Yes but probably leave it as it is, while having kinky sex parties with dozens of women in my castle on top of mountain.

And I'd make them make more firefly for ever and ever...

Could one person actually successfully rule the world?

Also, why does everyone automatically assume that the person ruling the world is an evil dictator?

Why can't they be peaceful, who are doing it for the good of humanity?

No, I would find two genetically altered laboratory mice and ask them if they wanted the job.
You would leave Pinky and the Brain in charge of the world?

I would personally take the job, and hire Ant and Dec as my personal advisors, and dress them like Jeeves and the windows paper clip helper...make them dance for me...and hurt them.

Personally i'd say yes, and if I turned out to be no good I'd delegate responsibility

Only as long as it takes to turn it into one, unified democracy. By force, if necessary.
Afterwards I'd step down. Although it's doubtful I'd live long enough.
And yes, I'm quite aware of the irony.

depends, if everything was like it is right now, no. Although, I'd probably just appoint a good leader for each country and if they start sucking, replace them. That way I wouldn't have to do too much work.
