's okay. I'm not much for displays of physical prowess. I give it props for being the first sport man invented, however.

Um, yeah... big, sweaty, muscular guys, in rubber underwear, grabbing each other, and pretending they can act, not exactly my style.

Every time I change the channel to wrestling I see weird clips of wrestlers proposing to female wrestlers and alot of I love you speeches.

Soap Oper a= Opium of the masses.

Soap Opera viewers = the masses.

Therefore, people who watch wrestling are being damned stupid. That being said, I respect you choice, it's just a damn stupid one.

Mind you, I find all kinds of televised fighting- UFC, boxing, martial art, are all incredibly boring. Most of the fights I've been in involved a lot more participants, blood, broken glass, chairs and anything heavy/sharp enough to cause injury being used as a weapon. Can't watch the blatant fakery any more.

I loves me some pro wrestling

its absolutley brilliant. its like a soap opera, but where everything is solved with violence

also, yes, the endings are predetermined, but i challenge anybody who says "its fake" to hold a three hundred pound man vertical by the neck and bring him down without hurting him

Wrestling is choreographed to an extent, a booker tells the wrestlers who wins and loses but what happens in the ring is entirely up to the persormer.

It's insulting to give a crass generalisation saying its fake because its not as black and white as that. Sure wrestlers protect themselves when in the ring. It doesn't take a genious to work out a 300 pound guy punching sombody in the face would brake their jaw and how often do we see that?
But the constant grind and continual punishment of a body slamming onto canvass (that is wood under canvass) leaves many a wrestler injured in later life. Its almost uncommon to thing that a wrestler will need surgury during his career. Not to mention the 'real' injuries that have occured mid match.

I could argue the toss about wrestling all day but its pointless as its kinda like marmite. You either love it or dispise it. But as a fan the spectacle is what makes it. I choose not to find out whose gonna win or lose before hand and enjoy it for what it is, hokeyness and all. You either get it or you don't.

Wrestling is fake but when you see a movie you don't really think its real do you???? You know whats going to happen (for the most part) but you still enjoy it???

People seem to be confused as to the limit of its fakeness. The storylines are obviously fake(of course) but the action is real most of the time. Anyway, I love TNA and WWE never really looked into any of the other groups except for a bit of ECW and WCW. TNA kicks ass because of all the athletic,high-flying wrestlers like AJ Styles and the X division but the X division always seem to get left behind because all the old WWE and WCW wrestlers are given the great storylines. WWE is great also and I'm so glad Christian is going back there to meet up with Edge again. Does anyone else thing HBK should just leave? He annoys the hell out of me.
All he does is get injured and have pointless feuds.

Depends. Frequently the bookers will set up matches in some detail. If, for example, they are building up a new heel, or emphasising a face heel turn by having him flatten a whole string of faces effortlessly or in a particularly mean fashion.

It all has to fit into the story they're telling at the time.

Not to mention how fucked in the head wrestlers can get. Most of them need large amounts of steroids to maintain the size they are expected to be over the course of a career, and steroids can fuck your brain up horribly.

wrestling is enjoyable because it is like athletic theatre. I enjoy the display or athleticism, and the characters. I watch a bit of wwe, but mostly chikara.
