Poll: Xbox 360 dashboard update

So the new dashboard is out now, what do you guys think of it?
Personally I like the new guide, but all of the icons (I guess you can call them that?) on the actual dashboard just seem too big to me.
I assume these big icons are purely there to make it easier to navigate through the dashboard with Kinect, which really makes me wonder about the accuracy of it.

Back in my day we only had to press the right or left button to switch to where we wanted to go, now we don't get to do that any more... no, now everything has to be more complicated with images of useless things I don't want to know about. I don't care about your Netflix deals or your facebooks and I don't give a damn about the current Xbox Live-r of the Week or whatever they are. I just want to do what I want to do and I could do it faster and more efficiently before all this junk.

A new dashboard?

I haven't played my 360 today, so i haven't gotten the update.
Still, I liked the previous dashboard a lot.

I'll get back to you about the new dashboard after I see it.

Another one? Jesus tittyfucking Christ, but why?! The one I have right now is perfectly serviceable, what exactly does this new one offer that my current dashboard doesn't? I don't play online games but I do use the marketplace for demos and watch the videos, and that's about all.

It is very similar to the last one, just everything is bigger and it tries to appear more 'crisp' and 'modern'. Literally the only feature it adds is Kinect support.

I'll go wth yes, but i'm more indifferent. It's more squared and flatter, but I don't really mind it. Seeing as we can't use Live until we've downloaded it, may as well get used to it!

I preferred the rounded design of the dashboard icons.
Why is everything white?
The whole dashboard feels a lot slower.
That damn start up animation takes at least a few seconds longer.(huge annoyance, I want to play games not see some animation)
I can see the guide stutter as I move between the different 'tabs'.

Something positive: I can read the text a bit better.

If you have no problems with the current dashboard known as NXE, then you should be fine.

Oh okay! Then I will breathe a sigh of relief and will see what it's like when I get home.

And that joke was pretty bad. But forgiven. Because Lemon Drops are so awesome - maybe not as awesome as strawberrys and cream

Yeah I loved the original one from a couple of years back.
The 2nd one is slow, and crappy.
This new one looks sweet IMO, hopefully it will be better.

It is actually really painful to me, the white is hurting my eyes. I'm really sensitive to bright light I hope they add an option in to change the colours eventually.

No. I hate it. It's horrible. Why is it so white? And Square? And flat? What happened to everything being on a plane? It actually hurts my eyes to look at it for too long it's so white. Bring back the original Dash!

It adds ESPN, which is pretty dandy. Also, it adds a MUCH needed search feature to Netflix. There are other changes, but those are the big ones for me.

Have you tried going into network settings and testing Xbox LIVE connection? That can sometimes sort these problems out.

Finally sorted it thanks, had to attempt the update 10 times

It's the same except with more white, and cycling through the menus gives me motion sickness now. Also why do the avatars have their arms splayed out like they're getting ready for an old-west style shootout?
