OK just wanting you opinions on Facebook

yea...nay? do you like it or do you hate it and why ?

me i think its a good idea for contacting people but on the other hand it kills part of your social life. like how we used to phone people or use email .

EDIT(?): I fixed the title and the poll's spelling sorry about that

Yay. I use it everyday, it's a useful tool for arranging nights out and planning parties. Also it lets me talk to people I wouldn't normally bother ringing, I don't ring up people for a random chat unless they are close friends.

YaY.

At first i didn't wanna make a profile for a long time.
Then i went on vaccation with my girlfriend and some other friends, when we came home i asked them if they could send me teh pic's, and they said i coudl just make a profile on facebook. At the time FB was still sortof new, and my girlfriend really wanted me to get on FB.

I made a profile, added those who were on the vaccation a,d i saw teh pics.

From tehre on i didn't really care bout FB, checked it less than once a week, and accepted friends request, but didn't search for people i knew, cause i wasn't planning on using it anyways, just didn't want to seem rude and not accept RL friends requests to be FB friends.

But i'm pretty fond of it now, it works well for organizing events such as parties or poker-club meetings.

It's also nice to be able to see pictures from places you were, without having to get them from everyone with cameras seperately.

I still don't udnerstand peoples needs to consatntly update their status with every little thing they do, and i hoenstly don't care whether my friends are eating dinenr with [insert someone they know] or not. Sometimes i wonder why they post so much info, i mean it's only 1 step away, from picking up a cellphone with FB and updating their status to "is having sex, i'm coming" whil ethey're doing it.

I also don't care for the "is a fan of" or any of the applications.

For me it's just an easy tool to communicate with several of your friends at once, without having to call back and forth, so basicly it's liek a forum for practical use for me, nothing more.

Nay.

I got nothing against it, I just don't use it.
This is pretty much my answer, I don't hate it, but at the same time I want nothing to do with it.

I use it a bit, but I can't see how people can use it to the extent that it kills their social life.

You did that on purpose, right?
No i incedentally fell spontanious asleep over my keyboard and my unconsious head-movements typed the text...

Did what on purpose?
All of the Typos
Not really, i used to, but now i don't even need to think about in when i discretely piss peoples irrational whining instinct off.

What i wrote is totally understandable, so typos or not i managed to do what i intended to do, communicate what i had to say about the subject to the rest of the forum users in an understandable way.

We can use this forum to discuss gaming stuff, and teh odd off-topic thing, and try to say intelelgent and relevant stuff about whatever topic we'er discussing, or we can use this forum to nitpick on others irrelevant typos due to our inquisitive perfectionist complexeses.

So let me ask you, are we gonna waste any more space discussing stuff irrelevant to the topic, so the trhad will be cluttered with responses that has nothing to do with it, when there really wasn't a problem in teh first case, cause my post should, in spite of the typos, be perfectly understandable.

Going to be a wise-ass because I can:
It's "Yea or nay". It's a Shakespearian phrase.

Anyway, no, I'm not too much of a fan of facebook. I recently made an account to see peoples' pictures, but I can't be arsed with the whole thing, really. The site is obsessed with 'having friends' and getting people friends (3 out of 5 sign-up steps were about getting me friends), the lay-out is annoying as fuck and it doesn't really fulfill any purpose to me.

I use it to keep in contact with friends and family. Do I like it? Meh it's neat, I hate the apps but that's easily avoided.

It has its uses. Nuff said

EDIT: once you get your settings right & make sure you make a point of blocking shite like farmville & the squillion other shite applications.

Only interested in viewing friends pics & being invited to social things. (Updates in "groups" helps)

Nay. It's a waste of time. And crappy Flash games that aren't worth two shits.

PS It's YEA, not YAY.

Nay, never used it and I never really plan to use it. It's nothing personal, I just can't be arsed to keep editing and checking it.
