Mordin, because he's just flat out annoying. I could probably do without Tali as well, because I played renegade and she came off as moralizing and naggy.

on the collector base
Shepard: "Jacob, I have a special mission for you..."
Jacob: "Yessir"
Shepard: "Hold this and wait here for further orders" Gives a large crate to Jacob, and then leaves
Shepard over the comms: "Jacob, I need you to go to way point echo, the rest of the team and I will provide a distraction"
Jacob over the comms: "Yessir"
Sometime later
Shepard over the comms: "Jacob open the crate and press the red button"
Jacob over the comms: "Yessir"
10 seconds later the collector base explodes
Later on the Normandy SR2
Illusive man: "I'm impressed shepard, you managed to destroy the entire collector base with only a single casualty. I knew you were the right choice for this mission"
Shepard: "It was easy, I just had to find out where the reactor core was and then set off an explosion right on top of it"

Thane, I love the guy, but he's got a terminal illness. In terms of the game world, he would be the least use in the coming reaper vs. everyone else war. For the greater good.

Miranda and Jack may be annoying, but at least they have genuine personalities. Jacob just seems so bland to me.
And how can Samara be fourth? She's the only Mass Effect character I feel can genuinely stand on her own without Shepard. Don't kill her, she's the only hope if Shepard ever dies or screws up! There should be a "Continue playing as Samara?" option when Shepard dies.

Jacob or Miranda - both retarded and added nothing. Both boring and i never used them apart from their story missions. Just generic characters.
I liked Jack, great character, just sucks when you meet her she is really powerful and destroys them 2 big robots on her own. Then when you take control of her she is normal powered.
The untouchable characters are Garrus, Grunt, Legion, Tali and Mordin. The rest can die. I think the alien character were better written than the human ones.
