It depends on how much I've had to eat that day/while I am drinking, how much I have drank in what amount of time, and what kind of alcohol I have been drinking. I have finished a case of beer in a night (9pm - 4am) and just had a dry mouth the next day. I've also had several wine-bottle sized bottles of port in a night, and simply been a bit dizzy the next day.
But then I've had several different beers in a night and a couple shots, and felt completely horrible the next day.
For me, my likelihood of having a bad next day, increases for every different type of alcohol I have that night. 5 of the same beer? No problem. 5 different beers? Uh oh... Especially if I mix dark beers with anything else.

Crap, mis-voted. I voted the range in which I'll get my hangover, not how much I can drink without getting a hangover. I do notice a hangover quickly. If I drink as much as 3 drinks in a night, I'll feel different (worse) next morning. Mosly a subtle, overall feeling of lameness, probably also caused by the lack of sleep.
Then there's the border where I start having headache and slight nausia, which is around 6-8 alcoholic consumptions on a good day, when there are no limiting circumstances (tireness, lack of food, illness).
After that, I'll usually feel hungover for *exactly* half a day. Why half a day? Food. I eat warm food around 12:30 pm, so after that, the hangover usually decides to go away.
Obviously, we can go beyond this. And I have. If I drink too much (around 15+ drinks), I'd nearly die the upcoming day. That said, I have had nights where I would drink 20+ drinks without intteruption (starting pretty early, at around 6PM, stopping at around 3AM), and feeling FINE the day after. Not sure what causes that.

I used to drink a lot. To the point that some people would have called it a problem. I would also drink by myself most of the time. A 12 pack of empty bottles scattered all over my desk and I'd go to bed not really feeling it. It got to the point that I could out-drink my Husband, but it just wasn't fun anymore. It was down-right depressing. However, when I started losing weight I stopped drinking for quite a long time and now it's just a 'occasion' thing. Weddings, BBQ's, etc.
Perhaps it's the lack of weight, or that I don't drink very often, but two delicious pints of Guinness or Arrogant Bastard can now get me to that special warm feeling before things start getting cloudy and then I stop. I like to come back down from the feeling and have a glass of water or two before I go to sleep. RESPONSIBILITY! *rainbows*

I have NEVER drank enough to make me feel bad the next morning. I think I might count as Thor, since there is no option for "I am a thirty ton mega-elephant with bronchial pneumonia."
I'm a Finn, so hangover is something we celebrate only on 2nd of May. Our culture is based on getting drunk and brooding. Sometimes it's funny to watch foreigners get off their asses after just a couple vodka drinks. It's uncanny, how some people have so weak tolerance for alcohol 
Depends more on what I'm drinking than alcohol content. I can get up to about 8 pints of lager before it hits me the next day, so that's about 16 units, whereas a decent dark ale will have me immobile the next day after 2 or 3, or about 6 units. Spirits and wines tend to be somewhere in between (in terms of units that is). That's why although I enjoy other drinks, I'll mostly stick to lager.
Also, depends on how fast I'm drinking, but that's fairly consistent. No more downing.

I have had a hungover like 4 or 5 times. All the times were some sort of graduation parties starting at 1pm and ending at 5am, and that's due to the lengthy intake of alcohol.
Or the few times when I drank strong beverage like cognaq, vodka etc and fell asleep outside in minus degrees...
I'd say to not have a hangover I go for the 10-15, normally I think I drink the 15+ but that's when it gets risky.
Only thing that has kept me from hangovers is to drink water before I go to bed.
Also as someone said "The alcohol can't be the reason for my hangover, I felt perfectly fine before going to bed".

Similar, with the one exception that I got a hangover at age 5 once. Ever since then, however, I can get totally shit-faced to the point of losing an entire evening of memories and wake up fine after a 5-hour nap.TheTim said:

I think the most I've ever had in one night was: a glass of wine, a pint of beer, two pints of cider, 2 Jack Daniels & Cokes, two shots of Jagermeister, 1 shot of vodka and 1 vodka and Red Bull. Went to bed with a headache and feeling queasy, woke up and was absolutely fine, except for a slight thirst which was solved with a cup of tea.
At my last office party I drank approximately four bottles of wine, that means about 16 glasses, or 32 units. I felt fine the next morning.

The being drunk part is quite fun, you can get away with all sorts of shit you wouldn't normally do. The being hungover part is what you generally try to avoid. Depending on what you drink, it can taste quite nice, there's another reason for you. That said, I'm not such a fan of clubs, but a few pints with friends in the pub? Sign me upOdbarc said:

It takes about six to eight vodkas before I'm feeling even tipsy, so quite high. However add rum, yeagers and other spirits then I'm away to fun land. Then again I don't drink beer only spirits, so I guess I'm just used to it by now.
