There's the Ectomorph: These are the people who can eat whatever they please and are always able to stay fit and active throughout most of their lives. They're generally small framed people.
I would not agree with that, just because you do not easily gain weight eating junk all the time, does not make you at all healthy.

I'm an ectomorph and have been trying to gain weight for the past 3 years. The only way it stays is through exercise: gained 15 pounds in the first 2 months and haven't managed to gain more than 5 pounds since. If I don't work out I end up getting sick and fall to a weight of about 112, which is too light for me.
Perfect example, and I am much the same. I get too skinny if I do not work out and eat well, and by well I mean healthily, I have been skinny when eating crap and doing nothing, but I feel like crap too and am definitely not fit.

I know people that are very fit, they are just naturally big, and I know people that look reasonably athletic, maybe a bit skinnier, but are not very fit at all. Really though, no matter what your body type, you need to eat well and exercise to be fit.

Imagine Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas. Now imagine him whiter and skinnier. Yeah, I'm around there.

I'm ecto/meso for sure. I'm very light for my weight but am easily stronger and more fit than a lot of my friends if that makes any sense. Then again my body shape doesn't make much sense either.

Endomorph. I can pack on pounds just by looking in my refrigerator, and losing said weight is nearly impossible.

Well, poll is somewhat lacking, I mean... You can have average metabolism, not fast or slow and not be athletic build?

Anyway I used to think I was naturally skinny, but when I went to the University, I did gain weight really fast. I managed to drop it really fast as well when I started a diet tho. Think gaining 25kg in 2 years, and dropping 20 in 9 months. So what does that make me?

I think I'm an Ecto/Meso that leans towards the Ecto side. I can't really tell. I can eat and not gain a lot of weight. I'm decently fit for my age, and have some muscle, but at the same time I have a bit of a stomach. It's not really noticeable, but I have some fat around that general area. So in the end, I think I'm an Ecto with Meso/Endo qualities.

But, now that I think about it, the Meso/Endo isn't that noticeable, especially the Endo. So..I'm mainly an Ecto, but the small bit of Meso/Endo acts like a barrier from me being really skinny.

This is confusing.

I suppose mesomorph, broad shoulders and whatnot, however until recently I never took advantage of this and am still working off most of my body fat, could be a jock but there's never been a sport that interests me to the point of playing it past just for fun.

I don't know what my natural body type is. But I've been an athlete since the age of 3, so I guess I'm a mesomorph.

I'm a mesomorph.

I gain weight very easily, but it's pretty easy to take back off. I'm actually overweight right now, but you;d never know until I took my shirt off, and even then it isn't horrible.

I've always retained great muscle definition, though. Even with the extra bit of fat I have now(which will be gone soon :) ), I have clearly defined muscles.

I'm on the low-end of healthy weight for my height ever since I got to college. I used to be athletic, I swear...

Crohns has made me skinny as hell, also I can never seem to gain any weight except on things like TPN (kudos to anyone who knows what TPN stands for).
I know what TPN stands for. I used to work in a hospital pharmacy so we made them and I had to deliver them when I was doing portering duties.
Handling them always used to gross me out a little bit, since they were cold and squishy & I always associated them with stomach contents, perhaps because the first time someone explained to me what they are they didn't do a very good job.

Well I can put on and lose weight very quickly - for example it took me a week of irregular exercising to become the skinniest I've ever been, and about the same time period worth of no exercise to revert back.
The same goes for muscle, so I'd say I fit into the Mesomorph category.

I prefer to stay thin and not too muscly though, so at the moment I'm maintaining a relatively constant weight of about 10 stone.

I've got a metabolism that apparently fully burns all calories that I ingest before I'm done swallowing them. That, and since I started medication for ADD, I'm never hungry anymore. I never thought this day would come, but I actually have to try to remember to eat nowadays. :/

A mesomorph that does no exercise, I guess. The shoulders bit definitely fits (Almost double my width, lol).
