I grew up next to a computer; although I didn't really play the games myself, my early days are full of memories from King's Quest, Conquest of the Longbow, Commander Keen, Lode Runner, Crystal Caves, and the like. It wasn't until, what? 1999, was it? That I got a different platform: the N64.

I loved my gigantic blocky Gameboy...even though it ate through batteries like no other.
While it did eat batteries, this is true (appox 14 -35 hours), it was not as bad as the other hand helds on the market such as the Atari Lynx (4 hours) or Sega Game Gear (2 hours).

N64, well technically everyones first is a PC, kinda, right?
No why? I started with videogames in the early 80's... no chance in hell someone I knew back then had a PC :)

I never ended up getting that game. I had to borrow it from a friend, and that was just last month.

My parents got me it and I was proud of their decision.

I was born too late AND in a post-communist country - my first console was a PC at the age of 6 (in 1997). I'm still a PC-exclusive gamer. Well, I've bought a DS lite since then, but it's "only" a handheld console...
