So...do you chaps consider your online friends proper friends?
How much do you trust them?

I think they're no different from my 'real' friends, so it's annoying when I'm told to stop talking to my fake friends and do something...
I trust those chaps quite a bit, but maybe not with my life. Just a bit under.

I only consider a few of them true friends, the ones that I see everyday and chat to.

Well, most of the ones I have here are people I run into quite a bit.

So I trust them, they are friends and I have no reason not to.

I call a few people I met over Facebook real friends, but the people I meet here...might just be that I don't get to know them properly, but I don't consider you guys friends.

Yet.

I hate them all, especially you two.

Nah I love them all dearly and trust them just as much as I trust my "real" life friends, some I trust more then real life friends.

Quite a few of them are better friends to me than some of my real friends. That's quite disturbing actually. xD

I don't trust them at all, but I voted with my location.

I have come to learn that internet friends mean nothing. I use to think they were just like IRL friends, but there not.

Since I only have one or two, and I know they live far away yet seen them in real life, I would trust them.

I don't think I'd trust any of my friends with my life. Online friends or otherwise.

I voted 'secret', but I don't really have many secrets; so I don't know if it's valid.

The feeling is mutual, I'm just waiting until you tell me where you live.

Urrm, how about my name. And I wouldn't for a second consider them real friends, it's not the same thing at all.

Of course, on the other hand, I could tell them a secret because they don't know me, so your poll means nothing to me.

If I talk to them nearly everyday then I can trust them with a secret more than I can trust some of my friends irl. Also Mr Snuffles can locate my house on google maps in under 30seconds >.>

Well, I don't know all my friends that well, but I can trust nearly anyone with a secret. Hell, one of my Escapist friends is my neighbor, so I know him enough to trust him. I want to get to know my friends a bit more though.

I trust them with all the information in my profile plus a little bit more. Not with my life, I don't trust me with that.

I sometimes consider my online friends more real than my in-person friends. I feel I can be more open and honest with them, and I can always take the time to say what I mean. My offline friends, whilst amazing people, I am always a little distant with because I don't want to be a burden to them, so I hide away a lot of myself and just present one facet of my personality.

Oddly, this doesn't apply when I meet an offline friend on MSN, where I can be as open with them as with a typically online only friend. I guess it's more something about an impersonal text based system that makes it easier to be open - but I value both sorts of friends equally. To me there is no distinction, nor would I want there to be.
