I do whatever I deem the best course of action in a given situation. That means I'm sometimes incredibly nice to certain npcs (Zevran, Garrus :3), but usually makes me a sith-lady or a scourge to the wasteland :|

Well, considering the "karma" ratings of most games goes like this:
JESUS
Good Guy
Here I am
Neutral(i.e do whatever suits me)
Bad Guy
SATAN
So yes I'm somewhere between neutral and good. However I tend to be bad on my second playthrough so I can get everything the game has to offer.

I usually, if not always, go for the goody-little-two-shoe mode, always on the first play through, even reload past saves if I did something evil by accident (other then hitting NPCs.... I can't avoid all of them, maybe if they would stop running in the crossfire, but NooOOOOOOooooo).
Really? I thought I was the only one that did that. Keeping multiple save files has saved me from making stupid decisions inside and outside of morality. People think I'm a little off when they see the sheer number of save files I keep for games I like, but then again it's allowed me to save everyone in Mass Effect 2 and explore the consequences of various actions in my first playthrough of Fallout 3 (not to mention keeping the NPC companions alive despite me bouncing around Old Olney.)

EVIL. Always this if it is possible, i mean im just tired of being good in real life.

However if it fits the character more i would consider change, Example: Red Dead Redemption i played good all the way through until...

You play as Jack Marston, thats when i turn into a badass cold blooded killer

I play as the bad guy in games so that I don't have to in real life. So I can use my evil laugh and not care about consequences.
lahrl? he's not a bad guy... he's just a brat. at the beginning at least. but the coolest dude in the whole world.
I wasn't refering to Laharl. I meant that in games like Fable I act like a total ass.

I indeed do, though to tell the truth, I've been doing it less and less lately, maybe it's simply because my recent games don't really give you much choices, but if there are choices, I'll try to keep multiple saves. I'm sure we're not alone.. are we?

First, I do everything in my power to be a massive dick. Mostly due to limitations that involves killing lots of people (and sometimes killing lots of people), but occasionally a game will allow those rare occasions in which one can be a sneaky dick (or to increase my nerd points, the difference between uncontrolled Chaotic Evil and pragmatic Neutral Evil). Then I play the game more properly, with consideration for consequences applied to each situation, which takes longer, and for some reason leaves me more satisfied than the former. Could it be I prefer more intelligent options to mindless evil? No, of course not, that's just silly.

I usually act how I would if I were really in the situation, so I usually lean towards the good choices because I feel the need to help others. However I do steal whatever I want and do choose the evil path from time to time if it leads to significant gain like better weapons, abilities etc., but I still manage to get praise from people because I'm so good.
Also I would NEVER kill an NPC unless necessary, especially not in Fallout. If I kill an innocent then that's one less person to steal from!

I do what's most beneficial like Mass Effect 2 ending I kept the collector base because it contains technology that could be researched to defeat the reapers and given the choice between killing the villain or letting him go, I kill him if I don't trust him because I don't feel like fighting the same fight twice.

I've tried both, but when I was evil it went against my natural inclinations so much that I couldn't really enjoy the game. So I'm good now.

I save plenty as well. In Fallout 3 most of my time was probably spent saving before, during, and after missions just to make sure I don't screw them up or to make sure I get the best rewards. Hell, I'd save several times in the wasteland too just to make sure that I don't come across a traveler that I shouldn't kill but do accidentally. I must have at least 30 saves from my first run on that game.

I dont tend to choose outright, just do whatever amuses me most at the time, so using fallout 3, was too tempting not to blow up megaton, an evil decision, yet later i talked the people in ten penny tower to let the ghouls stay with them, a "good" decision apparently, that game had a lot of grey lines. So by the end of that game I was still fairly neutral/slightly evil

Mass effect is another good example, too tempting not to punch a news reporter or shove a guy out of an appartment window, but I also couldnt bring myself to have garrus kill that pathetic guy he had been tracking, instead used my fem shepard's "charms" to show him mercy

Oh and in dragon age, was a huge jerk in conversation trees, just because some of them were too funny not to, but my in game actions were normally good... so yeah, in general, just whatever I feel like at the time.

Up till recently I would always play as a bad guy for the many benefits it held. In Fallout 3 I would always simply kill the guy for whatever I wanted. I'd trade and repair with a scavengers and then kill them to take my stuff and caps back repeating this with any scavengers I met. Now that I've finished Fallout 3 with Broken Steal, Point Lookout, Operation Achorage and The Pitt I find that I've got few people to trade with and any unmarked quests are unavailable because I've killed the guy that gives it.

So now I've changed my attitude and am a good character so I can get the most out of the game. This prompts the question; what is the moral attitude of The Escapist in a game?
I do the exact same thing, but I'm clever. I leave everyone with a name alive.

On topic, I'm more of a "chaotic neutral" kind of guy. I shoot at things I don't like and do whatever with what I do... Is what I would say, if I ever went anywhere near mainstream games.

If it is beneficial, I do what suits it best.
If it seems like killing a certain person grands me some kind of benefit, I´d do it.
I´d slay entire towns full of people sometimes just because someone ticked me off.

But to follow the Fallout 3 example, I play as I would in real life.
I don´t look up which route or which course of action gets me the BEST loot, I just play it the way I want. And if some guy insults me and I am carrying a loaded assaultrifle on my back in real life, this person would regret it immidiatelly.
If I´m in a really bad mood, I kill not only them but everyone who dares to oppose me because of it.
Like the slavers in Paradise Falls...
I told the guard nicely to let me in...since he turned down my offer and insulted me, I killed him, his subordinate and everyone else in the town, looted the place, freed the slaves and went on.
