Really? I thought I was the only one that did that. Keeping multiple save files has saved me from making stupid decisions inside and outside of morality. People think I'm a little off when they see the sheer number of save files I keep for games I like, but then again it's allowed me to save everyone in Mass Effect 2 and explore the consequences of various actions in my first playthrough of Fallout 3 (not to mention keeping the NPC companions alive despite me bouncing around Old Olney.)Bobipine said:I usually, if not always, go for the goody-little-two-shoe mode, always on the first play through, even reload past saves if I did something evil by accident (other then hitting NPCs.... I can't avoid all of them, maybe if they would stop running in the crossfire, but NooOOOOOOooooo).
I wasn't refering to Laharl. I meant that in games like Fable I act like a total ass.Ahlycks said:lahrl? he's not a bad guy... he's just a brat. at the beginning at least. but the coolest dude in the whole world.Palademon said:I play as the bad guy in games so that I don't have to in real life. So I can use my evil laugh and not care about consequences.
I indeed do, though to tell the truth, I've been doing it less and less lately, maybe it's simply because my recent games don't really give you much choices, but if there are choices, I'll try to keep multiple saves. I'm sure we're not alone.. are we?Ava Elzbieta said:Really? I thought I was the only one that did that.Bobipine said:...even reload past saves if I did something evil by accident...
I save plenty as well. In Fallout 3 most of my time was probably spent saving before, during, and after missions just to make sure I don't screw them up or to make sure I get the best rewards. Hell, I'd save several times in the wasteland too just to make sure that I don't come across a traveler that I shouldn't kill but do accidentally. I must have at least 30 saves from my first run on that game.Bobipine said:I indeed do, though to tell the truth, I've been doing it less and less lately, maybe it's simply because my recent games don't really give you much choices, but if there are choices, I'll try to keep multiple saves. I do the exact same thing, but I'm clever. I leave everyone with a name alive. The Unworthy Gentleman said:Up till recently I would always play as a bad guy for the many benefits it held. In Fallout 3 I would always simply kill the guy for whatever I wanted. I'd trade and repair with a scavengers and then kill them to take my stuff and caps back repeating this with any scavengers I met. Now that I've finished Fallout 3 with Broken Steal, Point Lookout, Operation Achorage and The Pitt I find that I've got few people to trade with and any unmarked quests are unavailable because I've killed the guy that gives it.
So now I've changed my attitude and am a good character so I can get the most out of the game. This prompts the question; what is the moral attitude of The Escapist in a game?
I have the same issue, I actually find it difficult to be evilAudio said:I genuinely feel bad for the NPCs sometimes lol. I have trouble being mean if i have the chance to :|
