Why would I ever want to pronounce it? As in, actually say it out loud?
Jesus Christ, I'd never be able to look at myself in the mirror again. Unless I'm somehow talking to biologists, of course.

But in my head I always saw it as me-me, according to the German pronounciation of such a word (if it existed). Although the German translation of meme is actually "mem", so I guess I'm rather retarded in that aspect.

It has always been meem. My friend for some reason thinks it's may-may and he won't listen when I correct him even thought he is fairly new to the internet scene.

I try and pronounce it 'meem' now, but I always did, and occasionally still, say it like 'maim'.

I pronounce it to rhyme with "Cream" as that is how it is pronounced. The phrase was coined by Richard Dawkins in his book "The Selfish Gene" which is where I first encountered the phrase, and he specifically says that's how it is to be pronounced.

Meem here. When I first encountered the word I considered me-me, but I decided to hold it strictly to the rules of the English language (despite all of its exceptions). Turns out I was right.

That video about pronouncement reminded me that I started pronouncing the L4D character Louis as "lew-eeze." The reason for that is I've always known "Louis" to be both spelled and pronounced as "Lewis." It just didn't seem right to call him Lewis if his name didn't look much like that at all. I certainly see his name in-game more than I hear the others call it out.

"Meem" here. Without being a native english speaker, I think it is what's correct according to the english pronounciation rules.
