I lack the whole co-dependancy thing most people in our society seem to have. I would rather not leave trusting my emotionally stability and general happyness to the chance of someone screwing me over (yet again).
Since choosing to be single, I've managed to get a well paid job, and get onto the college course I wanted, without being distracted by social politics. Horray for independance.
