Poll: Your shoes

I take them off, including the socks (it depends, sometimes I need to rush out again and so I leave the socks on). My country is directly under the equator, it's freaking hot, leaving my shoes on while at home would drive me restless. My feet are already heated by the socks and amount of walking I do, they need to cool down. Moreover, why would I want to dirty my home or anyone's home for that matter? It is also a cultural thing here we do.

I live in Sweden. Like the other Swedes on the forum have already said, it's kinda rude not to. There are exceptions of course - I'm not going to make the repairman take his shoes off for example.

When visiting Ireland I was always the oddball for taking my shoes off =/

I take them off as soon I'm at the house entrance where the other shoes are. The floors of the house have carpet except the bathroom so if its raining or I had muddy shoes I don't want to make a mess.

I'm Swedish, so the boots stay at the door. I'm pretty keen on keeping the floors clean, so I have slippers for indoors.

First thing I do when I walk in, shoes off. I think it's pretty much customary in the UK, though I could be wrong there.

I am going barefoot whenever socially acceptable. So yeah... i am not even wearing socks at home.

I take my shoes off and put them in a closet next to the door. I like walking around with socks on and no shoes in my house. Also I won't get the carpets dirty.

I usually keep them on most of the time unless I have some mud on my shoes or there really filthy then I'll take em off, but at all other times my laziness takes over and I can't be bothered.

Though I hate feet, I couldn't put my feet up on the couch if I was wearing shoes. And I wouldn't want that.

I hate wearing shoes, if I have even half an excuse to go barefoot, I take it.
