Of course I would.

Are we allowed to keep it though, saving through life for the perfect opportunity?
My life hasn't been ideal, but I can't think of a specific instance that I monumentally screwed up badly enough that it would significantly change my life now. I'd much rather keep the button for later on when I do monumentally screw up.

I would use it to correct a mistake instantly. I have narrowed down all that's gone wrong the past five years to one moment, so that would solve everything!

I would absolutely want to do it. however, i wouldn't want to be responsible for the devesation that would cause, so i wouldn't do it.

Right now I would use it to do yesterday's horrible Leaving Cerficate Maths paper again.
I thought that was a fairly easy paper...

OT: I have a few mistakes I'd like to fix but I'm not sure I want to live all of my life between then and now again.

hey, life is too short to constantly wonder "what if." if you've got the notion that maybe she feels that way too, go with it.

Well, it's very tempting, but alot of my mistakes in life left me resolved to be stronger the next time I encountered something. So if this is like in the movie "The Butterfly Effect" Where our old self takes on from there, that would suck because it would leave me ill-prepared for something worse down the road.

However, if this was, say, do EVERYTHING in your life over, starting from that point, like reloading an old save file on a game, I'd be very tempted to go back and attend a community college instead of going to ITT Tech. (Man, that was a huge mistake. I could rant all day about it actually.)

Of course, then again, there's also things like warning people about September 11th, the quake in Japan, and Hurricane Katrina...although no one would probably listen, sadly enough.

might wanna reconsider. imagine if someone DID run around New York saying "these buildings are gonna explode, everyone stay out, run away!" you think there is any possible outcome of that situation that involves the government believing that you weren't involved? you'd still be getting waterboarded to this day.

so, with this in mind, could you then deal with the helplessness of knowing you could save thousands of lives, but you're completely unable to do so? would that create mental issues of it's own, new depressions? just things to consider.

Well, my plan probably wouldn't exactly be running around New York, screaming it like a madman. I imagine that to be the LEAST effective tactic. In the end though, even if I would get water-boarded forever afterward, if it saves several thousand lives, I'd think it'd be worth something. But then again, the problem of "believing your threat is the primary problem. Calling a bomb threat on the building might work, or just, you know, driving a truck into the lobby and screaming "I've got a bomb!" as a last ditch effort. Although I'd really prefer something a little more subtle than that to be honest...

Yeah I probably would, for one reason. To make sure a certain puck that bounced off the crossbar instead went into the net during the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals. That should be ours!!!!

Save it until I'm 80 years old on my deathbed, then go back to the moment when I was given the button, to take it, to save it, to use it for infinite life over and over again.

And if that doesn't work, I would just go back in time and buy Microsoft stock.

No, you go right now and talk to this girl. Tell her that you think she's adorable (hot and sexy sounds like you're trying to hard) and you'd really like to take her out to dinner. When she accepts (notice I said 'when' instead of 'if') take her somewhere nice, but not to expensive. Don't try to rush anything she'll just think you're in it to 'win it' if you read what I'm typing. Thats how you get the ladies it works everytime.

On an added note, it's always best to clean up real good, and she compliments you, thats when it's best to ask her.

EDIT: is she a friend of yours or just someone you see at work/school?

Kinda few options I could only see a "Yes, to correct a mistake"...

But yes I would, especially if I retained all my memories and experience.
Nice avatar.

OT:

Yes, wait untill I'm older and then hit that button, so I know who I marry and I can meet them earlier!

I would keep it till I'm on my deathbed, and then I would use it to relive my life and not make crappy decisions. Plus I could play even more video games. "Halo 3 comes out in November? Whatever, I already beat it."

If I could only use it once I probably couldn't decide which moment in my life to change, and it probably wouldn't be enough.

It's a remarkably isolated incident that I feel bad about. It's long enough ago that I could also stop myself doing a number of other stupid things along the way without hugely affecting the timestream - basically, stop myself doing stupid things whilst drunk.

So yeah, I'd use it.
