Out of curiosity, which do you prefer, Zero Punctuation or Extra Punctuation? I'm writing a piece on how ZP is more popular than EP due to the format differences, but I'm wondering which people really prefer.

EDIT: Also, is it because you prefer video to text? Or vice versa, of course.

I'm not sure. Zero Punctuation is definitely more entertaining, but EP is certainly a good read, covering some interesting topics and just being Yahtzee throughout. I'm stuck somewhere in the middle, though if I had to choose between watching the new ZP or reading the new EP, I'd probably go for the former first.

I prefer EP myself. It's more informative then ZP is in my opinion, and also more interesting. ZP is more Entertaining though.

ZP.

EP tends to be a bit more informative, but if I wanted unbiased information Yahtzee wouldn't be the one I'd turn to. This site is full of well-written articles, and EP doesn't stand out in any way except for its connection to ZP. ZP has entertainment value because it's funny, which doesn't have to be unbiased or accurate.

I read every EP just as I watch every ZP, but if I had to choose one it'd be an easy choice.

They both serve different purposes, so I'm inclined to say that neither is better than the other.

The only conclusion I can draw would be to say I see more of ZP than I do of EP, but that is just due to the fact it has been around longer.

Extra punctuation really only compliments ZP. If you haven't watched ZP then what he says in EP won't make much sense. Plus, vocalised words are easier for me to remember.

EP.

Yahtzee is a pretty astute critic of the video game industry at large, and I find his articles more insightful than his reviews. His reviews are for entertainment value, his articles actually carry substance.

I chose ZP, but only because I had to choose one and because I don't see EP existing without ZP: the topics on EP are kind of a follow-up to the ones on ZP. Both are great, though, and I'd rather have both!
I think the real reason ZP is more popular, though, is because it gets more coverage.

I chose EP, mainly because I've gotten less laughs out of ZP recently. Still enjoy watching it though. EP just has more... substance to it. I'll just say that if I were to take tips from Yahtzee (and I am), I'd take them from Extra WAY before Zero.

ZP tends to be more entertaining, but that's because he's more of a comedian during the videos. He usually lets the "game critic" part take over to discuss interesting issues in EP.

I don't particularly *like* Yahtzee as a game critic proper - in ZP he unashamedly bashes games, and its pretty clear that basing whether or not you'll purchase a game shouldn't be based on that review alone (in fact its questionable whether most ZP reviews should have *any* bearing on future game purchases), whereas I find that since EP is much more serious in tone his viewpoints come across as gospel - they're generally interesting to read, but I often come away from reading EP feeling guilty because I don't hold the same opinions as Mr Crawshaw. So ZP gets my vote.

I watch ZP for the comedy, I read EP for the observations. I guess in a way I like ZP more.

The great thing about ZP is the fact that Yahtzee uses visual humor so well. Most of the things he says wouldn't be nearly as funny without the visuals. Some people can be funny just through words, and while EP is entertaining, Yahtzee is best when he uses visuals too.

You read EP...

OT: I like them both, but I like ZP better.
