Poll: zombie apocolypse or robot uprising

I would be far more worried about a robot uprising than a zombie apocalypse. A robot uprising seems a lot more likely to happen, for one. Especially with things like these [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MQ-9_Reaper] on the rise. A zombie apocalypse, at least if we would be dealing with classic shamblers, wouldn't be all that difficult to cope with, I don't think. One of our primary advantages over the undead is that we are smarter than them. An advantage that we are not guaranteed in a robot uprising.

More worried about? Zombies. If something has come back from the dead once, it can do it twice.

Plus a simple EMP can knock Robots out, zombies, not so much

I suppose that depends on the type of zombie. I, for one, always think of the Max Brooks World War Z variety when I hear the word "zombie", but the deadites of the Evil Dead series would be more of a threat.Based on the World War Z archetype, I would have to say robots are a bigger threat, since they're capaple of thought and a lot harder to kill- not to mention very unlikely to stay down permanently.

Zombies are oh so much worse.
You could smack a zombie 'round the head with a baseball bat and giggle at the pretty colours. If you smacked a robot 'round the head with a baseball bat you'd probably break every bone in your hand. Plus robots have got all that heat vision and lasery crap, whereas zombies have... teeth. You could easily just put on some bike gear, complete with helmet and gloves, and walk through a croud of zeds and you'd be untouchable.

Zombies. I have a plan set up for those.

Robots are too easy. Get them to calculate Pi and they'll be occupied for the rest of eternity.

Neither will happen, but I suppose robots are more likely, but could be averted if they have a kill switch. I'll say cup cake terrorists. They might be like... Cupcakes made from aids...

CAN ZOMBIES SHOOT LASERS

I DONT THINK SO
Well, damn. I stand corrected.
Means we're pretty much screwed then.

But if the zombie apocalypse happens won't we still have the robots on our side?

Robot uprisings are more feasible and deadlier.
We can formulate plans on how to survive here:

No, the zombies will use their superior charisma and rhetorical skills to sway the robots to their side.
We will be doubly screwed.

Aw. Could've been fun. Robot-versus-Zombie deathmatch on pay-per-view.

We can still persuade the cupcake terrorists to join our side.. right?

a simple EMP
What exactly is simple about creating an electromagnetic pulse that is strong enough to disrupt or disable a complex robotic system?

OT: I would prefer a robot uprising to the zombie apocalypse, zombie aren't really a challenge to kill. I like a challenge.

(this has probably been said already)

why not both?, i mean the robots could probably end up enslaving the zombies anyway

The robot uprising is much closer. I just saw on Daily Planet (don't judge me) that there are plastic cubes 2m x 2m x 2m, filled with helium, that will eventually be able to intelligently arrange themselves in three dimensions: Robots that can put up a building, with themselves as building blocks. They can already control themselves precisely in midair, although they move very slowly and are still very sensitive to turbulence, so we have time.

Robots.

At least I know how to deal with zombies. If robots ever decided to start killing people, I'd be totally fucked.

Think about it. Weak humans hungry for flesh or highly advanced armored robots?
