Well Id go with the flamethrower because it would be incredibly effective at clearing large groups...but I foresee problems If I plan to hide In a house or a long tunnel.

A cigarette lighter and a can of furbreeze, then kick it into the horde.
youd only succeed in lighting them on fire. they would still be alive
He never said he would be lighting them on fire, rotting flesh stinks, furbreeze could be usefull. I would choose the bfg, that thing kicks arse.

I'll use a gaspowered lawnmower. The zombies will fountain blood everywhere.

well, according to my trusty "Zombie Survival Guide" which i literally have on or next to me at all times, bolt-astion rifle would be the best, right behind that is the crowbar, but i do not know how to use a melee weapon, and im probably not good at it. so for now i'll stick to the long-range weapons.

Crowbar. That trusty thing never runs out of ammo.
but you have to get close to a zombie and a random object never runs out either
This random object could also be a pineapple for all we know.

I chose bolt action rifle.

Problem with a shotgun is, if the zombie jumps you up close you might not be able to draw the weapon up between you and it in time. Pistol gets my vote
I'm in the exact same boat.

Rifles and shotguns are impossible to draw when the zombies are too close. Their rounds also weigh too much and take too much space.

Melee weapons are not weapons I would use because that would require me to get close to EVERY zombie I have to kill.

My vote goes for PISTOL! It's actually good enough to pick off targets at medium range if you take your time and it's easy to use. Also, when they get too close, you will be able to draw it much easier than rifles and shotguns. Additionally, pistol rounds are not exactly big which means you can carry a lot of them.

A slight annoyance of mine: Whenever people make zombie threads, it's utterly important to write whether we're dealing with the fast-as-hell-zombies as in Dawn of the Dead or it's the slow-and-stupid zombies.

As to the given options I'd say crowbar, but if it was my choice, I have in my room, full chainmail(I'd wear it to prevent bites) and a nice selection of swords, knives, axes, and so forth. As an added pleasure my roommate has many rifles and pistols that would help in the instance of oncoming zombie hordes. So I say BRING ON THE ZOMBIES!
You too? Though my armor is studded leather, not chainmail. I doubt a zombie can bite through it though.

Of the choices above, Shotgun, but I would rather have a kusari-gama, a scythe, a ninja-ko, a can of Axe, and a lighter. And some Molotov cocktails.

Still have a plan though. Drive to friend's house in Crown Victoria, pick up friend, family, and guns, drive to truckyard, drive truck to the Yukon, picking up survivors and survival gear on the way.

If I could use anything. A gun that shoots out lightning and shurkiens.

But if I had to pick, Semi-Auto Rifle or Sub-machine gun. Therefore it isn't to hard to run and gun and you can take out a good many with one clip at most times.

Second best is a pistol. The other guns would be too bulky or inefficient when running and shooting. Always gotta be moving in a zombie apocalypse. They tend to swarm

It would have to be a crowbar. Easy to carry and doesn't need ammo, plus you can use it to open objects other than a zombie's skull
