If a vampire bit a zombie what would happen?
Considering vampirism is generally a blood-born thing and most zombies don't seem to have an active blood stream, probably nothing.
OK vice versa then, zombie bites vampire. What happens?

The vampire gets bitten. He is already dead, he can't die and become a zombie.
And I want to add that yes, I too think that werewolves are even cooler.

Depends on your specific breed of zombie I guess. Is it one of those created by a virus (Resident Evil?) or ones raised by vooodoooo magix (uh, most fantasy settings)? First one would...uh, you know I have no idea. Something bad probably. Second one would probably not do much at all and just hurt for a while.

Problem with zombies and vampires is how many different incarnations of them there are.

I say vampires are the scarier of the two, if for no other reason than their intelligence. Zombies are basically mindless ravenous beasts that will attack constantly, heedless of any harm being done to them. Vampires on the other hand are highly intelligent and tend to stalk and corner their prey when hunting rather than just swarming them.

Inspired by I am Legend, I honestly thought it was about zombies until I read the book (can't recommend it enough by the way)
Are you serious? The book was so much better than that half-hearted abortion of a Will Smith flick. The movie completely ignored the theme of the book in favor of "hurr Woll Smoth is a hero!!!"

Anyway, seeing as how I sat through a Romero "of the Dead" marathon last weekend, my answer should be clear enough. Many 'modern' zombie movies try to add more action by making their zombies more smarter, faster, stronger, etc, but that's just missing the point. The threat of zombies isn't in those things. It's that they're relentless. They're everywhere, you can never kill them all, and one mistake might mean that you're done for.

Vampires are way on the other side of the spectrum. In most vampire movies, there's only one vampire or just a relatively small group of them. They're faster, stronger, and sometimes even smarter than humans, but they've also got big weak spots: sunlight, wooden stakes, etc.

Vampire movies are typically about humans that hunt a predator that's stronger than them.
Zombie movies are typically about humans that have all but lost the fight against a near-infinite horde.

Zombies. Vampires don't scare me much.

Zombies? If they eat me, I become one of them and that just bludging sucks.

Ghouls, but since they're not on the list, zombies.
Depending on your method, ghouls can be considered a kind of zombie.
Ghoul by radiation?

That and the count from sesame street, damn he rocks.
Old but still funny (to me at least);

That made me laugh for two minutes straight.
Agreed.
I assume what he actually said was "count"/"counting" but it's a lot better with bleeps.
