It started on /co/, to clarify. And It's quite the forum joke to have ~350 user group members. And a ridiculous (and I mean RIDICULOUS) amount of user content in the form of fan art/pics/trailers.

OT: Beyond using the search bar and looking at the scores of pages on this topic, the short of it is that it's a fantastic show all around, but one that faces a big double standard based on its name and art style and what not.

2. Fans either try to explain or tell them to watch it and find out.
3. Some of the people who were asking about it become fans, others lose interest in the thread.
4. A small number of non-fans remain, either trolling or just being obnoxious.
5. Fans keep trying to explain what's good about the show.
6. Unlikable people persist.
7. Fans give up and just start posting pony pictures.
8. Eventually the thread dies.
9. New thread is created, go back to 1.

Don't take this a pretentious suggestion, but what the hell is this crap about ponies and children's cartoons? My friend came to me yesterday suggesting that I watched this and attempted to enjoy it. Curiously enough, I set down and attempted to view an episode as I earlier promised... Didn't even make it past the opening.

So, what, is this a new meme, am I late to the party? I really don't see what is so great about this. Help thy, for I may be lost and need enlightenment.

Edit: Well heck, I forgot to mention the most important part(Even though you probably already knew), I'm talking about that My Little Ponies cartoon.

It's a two-parter and I don't think the pilot is as good as the rest of the season, but it has some background information to clear stuff up later.
