Won't deny that it's selling like crazy. But having played both, the Kinect was vastly insuperior to the Move, feeling reminiscent of the EyeToy despite it being technologically better.
If anything, the Eye-Toy was the precursor to the Natal.

And no, I refuse to say "Kinect", its such an ugly sounding word.

This is simple economics people! Why target a niche when you can go mainstream?
Because what people want isn't necessarily what is the best for them.
And the corporate powers that be want what's best for the people?

I'd be shocked if they didn't choose Move. Kinect is an interesting idea, but in execution, its surpassed by the Move in every possible aspect.

I agree with their choice. By the simple fact that the Move is essentially a more poweful and fine-tuned Wii. (painted black) They're working with proven technolgy, or at least, they're copying it.

It also wins by having some actual Freakin' games! I know I bring this up a lot when I mention Kinect, but it really is a problem, aside from Dance Central which was declared to actually be pretty good, the entirety of Kinect's library is shovelware.
I know the "casual" non-gamer crowd appreciates it, but to the rest of us it's just kind of insulting. Especially because, with the hacks, we've seen what the Kinect is capable of, and they're just going to waste all that on crappy, cheap to make, but easy to sell tech demos disguised as games.

I think that's what pisses me off the most, it's wasted potential, the Kinect has HUUUUUUGE potential and it will most likely never be fully explored, if at all by Microsoft.
I know it's still only been out for a few weeks, and developers need time, but come on! At least it could've had a real game as one of the launch titles.

Oh another thing that pisses me off, Kinect Joyride was originally called Avatar Joyride and it was intended to be a download game, if that was the case I most certainly would've picked it up, now not so much.

What? I really don't get why buttons transform the Move into some amazing super device.

OT: Well, the Kinect seems to be failing really bad abroad...
Which is not strange since the 360 doesn't do well in Asia.

I agree with them actually. I see the Big Three consoles as a sibling rivalry. PS3 is the geeky 18 year old who should have already left for college, Xbox 360 is the annoying young teen who thinks cussing makes him cool, and the Wii is the irritating little brat 7 year old that nobody wants around. Their motion controls are the same way. The crude first try of the Wii and the almost refined of the PS3 and the rebellious just because of the Xbox 360.

I'm sticking with "none are for hardcore gamers" until something like a Star Wars game with actual responsive lightsaber combat is released, and is good. Or maybe if the move has something like Mount & Blade.
Kinect and Wii are NOT for hardcore gamers, that's for 100% sure. Move probably isn't either, but it could be, at least in theory.
