I follow her on Twitter, and she has posted many different kinds of pictures, including ones of her playing WoW. WoW is quite a popular game (I know, duh, but let me get to my point), and many, many different kinds of people play it. I've seen people that play it casually, have one, maybe two characters, and their highest toon isn't even at cap yet. Then there's the hardcores that play the game so much it's less a game to them and more like a life (cue that episode of South Park).
And oddly enough as it turns out, a lot of people are quite nerdy that you wouldn't expect to be. Vin Diesel has and says he continues to play D&D. The Escapist series "I hit it with my axe" is an grand example of people sitting around to play D&D, and most of them work in the adult industry. I know of a lesser-known porn star named Misti Dawn this is uber-geeky...even though she looks like the kind of woman that wouldn't play anything more complex than Peggle or Bejewled, she plays WoW, owns all of the current gen consoles (and even some older ones), and can kick most of our asses at Halo.
This entire little rant to basically say this, something we've known for years, but needs to be constantly reinforced: Gamers are no longer the people they used to be, or at least, the gamers of today are not the way gamers were back in my day (I'm a few months short of 26). We are no longer just the "squares" of the world, wearing glasses and pocket protectors, never journeying out of our basements just so we can beat Final Fantasy 3/6 for the 5th time with the worst party you could build (just for the "challenge"). Gamers are everywhere, and can be anyone. Even a hot porn star like Belladonna, who has done things that are best watched instead of explained....but mostly because it's good fapping material.
