there may be animals incapable of looking up,
but this one can and i'm reasonably sure most others can too

i think you're thinking of pigs
I think it's a reference to the movie Shaun of the Dead, the question if dogs can look up or not is brought up one several points there.

The reason I don't do the above is that the fucking comment rape-train is now like half-a-page long, and also, I usually edit out things I agree with. That way, people can see the point I'm bringing up to debate. Perhaps I'm still new here and that's not protocol. It just seemed ergonomic. Sorry for all the confusion.
Basically we have been discussing things that has to do with wording rather than actual disagreements here. If I don't misunderstand here I think we agree here. Also no need to apologize, no discussion is without at least a little bit of confusion and I'm guilty of causing some of it myself.

When you think about all the weird fetishes in the world and consider pornography as anything that someone can get off on, as opposed to simply a two people having sex, then its impossible to find something that's not pron to someone. Don't think about that too hard, you'll give yourself nightmares.
Aaaand nightmares. Rule 34... eww. Lawnchairs.
It get worse. Somewhere in the world... somebody gets off on people posting in gaming forums... Congratulations, your soul has successfully imploded.

Not at all surprising. Even the few people in this thread who say they've never seen porn, will have seen porn. It's near impossible to spend a lot of time on the internet without accidentally stumbling onto a page with naked ladies, or even getting a saucy pop-up appear. You'd have to be so careful with what webpages you visit, and blunders are almost definitely going to happen, because porn is everywhere.

It's Montreal, we're French. We like out sexe and our porn. that's probably why everyone in the city has seen some.

Well, not males ones apparently.

University of Montreal researchers wanted to compare the attitudes of non-porn watchers to regular viewers.

But researcher Professor Simon Louis Lajeunesse told the Daily Telegraph they simply couldn't find any.

"We started our research seeking men in their twenties who had never consumed pornography. We couldn't find any," he said.
Source: http://www.metro.co.uk/news/802879-porn-virgins-do-not-exist-claim-scientists

After reading that I got a bit curious. Did they just not look hard enough, or does access to the internet guarantee porn usage? At least for men. So, query: Are there any men on the Escapist in their twenties or older who've never watched porn?
My only beef with this (other than not consulting the omish, dah) "consumed"? Yes I bought magazines, and tore the pages out, and then ingested them. God, what a stupid word to use in that sentence.

Here's too 20th century technology making all our lives better, amen.

Oftentimes, the only thought running through my head when I watch or read something that's a bit strange is "Somewhere, somehow, someone is getting off to this." And they TOTALLY ARE, even for things marketed towards the family. For instance, A 1970s Doctor Who companion once groped and posed nude with a Dalek for an Australian porno mag.

On the other end of the spectrum, we have surreal horror that makes the entire concept of sex terrifying in Eraserhead. If you are into gushing bodily fluids, there's a LOT of symbolism there that you can apparently use, as long as the constant industrial banging noises, aborted cow fetus baby and weird tumor singing radiator lady don't completely turn you off. If they don't, you're probably a very disturbed person already, but don't let that stop you.

Looked famillar. Checked the article: December 2009.

That said: Best. Research. EVER.

I'm pretty sure female porn-virgins are hard to find as well...

You could probably find some in some Christian/Jewish/Muslim fundamentalists. Although, they might have seen a sex scene in an r rated movie, so.......it all really depends on the definition.

I managed to make it to 19 before my first viewing. Being a shut-in, you'd think it would've been sooner...

That is a little surprising. I guess it all depends on who the study is based on, and where they asked. If they'd ask people on a super-religious web community, they'd get a lot more answers in the "no" section.
And get the polygraphs out, how many of those would be telling the truth?

I know some people who legitimately don't and wont because of various reasons (one of them being the moral implications to them, thinking porn is wrong [a reasonable opinion if you ask me])

By Miles Erwin - 3rd December, 2009

I mean, seriously? Old news is old mate.

And did you really need a study to tell you that?

I think the statistic is that 2/3 of 12 year old boys with access to the internet have seen porn at some point, pretty sure it's like 90% by 14. Unless you don't have access to the internet (and that might not even matter), you've probably seen it.

Hahaha! Oh man, that's weird to think about. Especially since we're in the Off-Topic, so they get off on general discussion. Imagine some guy whakin' it while you and a friend are talking about school or something... Try having a normal conversation now.

Yeah. They all know each other. Through him. In many ways, I envy him...

There's maybe ONE person in my life who I might believe doesn't watch porn. She's never said anything about it one way or another, and I basically positive she's watched it at some point.
And it's not an uncommon belief that I don't watch porn, but that's about as true as claiming clouds are made of marshmallows.

If she and I watch porn/have seen it....then I doubt ANYONE exists who hasn't, at some point, seen porn if they've had access to it.
