Hope they'll include some tough challenge rooms, and maybe that nauseous wall-walking gel. I still want to see that in action.

Anything new should be interesting though.

SPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEE! Is already a meme.

Seriously can't wait for this DLC and I HOPE TO GOD they release a Portal 2 SDK just so i can download user created maps which will be either insanely hard or just stupid.

People are already saying that this is a rip off and that it wasn't included in a game with an 8 hour (on average) length, which is FAR longer than many games out there, AND a 5ish hour Co-Op campaign, and it has some of the best written characters in gaming, what more do you want?

The game was $50USD, that's what you yanks pay and you are complaining? I was STOKED to be able to get it for $50AUD due to the dollar being on par, with a typical game being $100 I would be more than happy to pay for DLC because I feel I got quality and value for money.

If it's free on PC, that would be awesome. They do have paid cosmetic DLC after all, that I'm sure is making quite a bit of money, just as the TF2 stuff does.

why is it a universal fact that you go into the blue portal and come out the orange?
I asked around on some forums and steam friends who play it and they all use blue to go in and come out in the orange, in flinging, for example
plus, they allways use the orange for second-grade tasks, like if there's a funnel it's by reflex that you put orange at the original funnel and use blue to move around

also, are there anymore memes beside space and lemons?
none of them can top cake is a lie

There IS already a replacement meme to "the cake is a lie"
It is: "I'm in spaaaaaaaaaace"
As said by the space personality core.
How are you doing? Because I'm a POTATO!

And yes, spaaaace!
Which is now being used around my house in place of any other greeting.
The Deer is a Lie!

SPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEE YYYEEEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know why they put brackets around things?

"We will be announcing some DLC for [Portal 2],"

Why are there brackets around the portal 2 title, they do this for a lot of things and I never did understand why.

It's not that hard to tell why

left click = blue portal
right click = orange portal

It's used when you want to quote someone, but want to clarify what they mean, usually because the sentence requires more context to be understood.

The original interview contained this text:
"There is a comic online, but beyond that, is there more Portal coming?"
"We will be announcing some DLC for it, so folks can keep a look out for more content coming this summer. We'll be putting more details out about that in a week or so. We'll support that with more videos or more comics."

If they had printed only that first sentence, it would have read "We will be announcing some DLC for it". The sentence would have no context to clarify the noun being replaced by the pronoun.

I don't like that "DLC" is now being associated with a Valve product, it will be an update on steam and it'll be free. Xbox users need to tell life to take the damn lemons back!

Portal 2 DLC Falls in Blue Portal, Exits Orange in Summer

Valve is currently preparing the launch of Portal 2 DLC to be released in summer 2011.

Valve released Portal 2 [http://www.amazon.com/Portal-2-Playstation-3/dp/B003O6E3C8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1304009902&sr=8-1] on April 19 to fans that snatched it up and have probably been ravenously searching for the next "the cake is a lie" meme. Nothing has surfaced quite yet, but perhaps it'll come from DLC that will likely hit digital shelves in summer.

In an interview with Fast Company, Valve VP of marketing Doug Lombardi confirmed that along with turrets and weighted cubes, Portal 2 DLC is definitely coming down the Aperture Science pneumatic pipe network. "We will be announcing some DLC for [Portal 2]," he said. "So folks can keep a look out for more content coming this summer."

Additionally, Lombardi revealed that we'll hear about this DLC in "about that in a week or so." There already is DLC available for Portal 2, but only in the form of cosmetic alterations to the game's co-op mode robots, such as hats and accessories.

The DLC coming in summer is likely not another wave of robot tutus, as Lombardi also said that Valve will be supporting it with "more videos or more comics," referring to the get the game released early [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/109203-Aperture-Requests-Funding-for-Portal-2-Long-Fall-Boot], and it wasn't Valve's first. It'd be pretty surprising if there wasn't another ARG hooked up to Portal 2's DLC.

As for what'll be in the DLC package, that's anyone's guess. More co-op levels? A trip into Aperture's past [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/109608-Valve-Began-Development-on-Portal-2-as-a-Prequel]? A look at what Doug Rattmann (from the Portal 2 comic) was up to during the game? I choose option 3, if anyone's listening.

Christ, do other forms of media have fans who ***** about getting more? When the Lord of the Rings DVDs came out did people ***** about how the theatrical release should have included those extra scenes and that having to buy the DVD set is a ripoff?
