Same On any other day this puzzle would have been hard as fuck for me. But i was just in the right mindset when I did it I guess. bang bang choo choo train done! The white gel however... 34 minutes i spent trying i guess a ninja solution, then when i did figure it out I probably had the best wtf moment on my face.Owlslayer said:Well, that was damn clever.
This one was pretty difficult, but for some reason, i solved it really fast.
I'm not sure why, but i just looked at the 3 lasers and then randomly made a portal, and another one.
To my surprise, it actually worked.
Blind luck indeed, especially when playing with lasers.
Not even. You might find a few chambers like this that are possible for no portals, but you can't do the entire game without portals, not without cheating uber hard.ronald1840 said:So is a 'No Portal' Run possible now? Not sure
Haha. Don't worry. I did the exact same thing near the end of the game with the room with the evacuation funnel and three turrets. Took me half hour to remember how portals work even though I been using them for the past 6 hours.Woodsey said:I think I managed it with my first portal placement (practically walked straight through the room without thinking). My stupidity factor did come to life later in the game though, where it took me 20 minutes to work out how to get from one ledge to another.Onyx Oblivion said:That puzzle took me the longest, iirc.
Solution? Blue portal on my side, orange portal on the other side.
I was concussed from the /headdesk that occurred a few seconds later.
Well, that's what I assumed too, and it worked. I placed the portal with the laser heading right for it, and the other portal in front of the middle receiver. Then I saw that the two cubes could be used to direct the other two lasers through at angles to hit the other two receivers.restoshammyman said:most guys who think this puzzle is hard just got stuck on the obvious for too long.
when in fact, the obvious here, is wrong.
most people just assume you need to place the portal on the wall with the laser heading right for it.
Glad to see you haven't lost your touch.HankMan said:Sorry but the thing is...Quiet Stranger said:HankMan said:He just looked at things objectively.

I was hoping you'd make a funny joke.
At first I thought this was gonna be a story of how a guy went through the whole game without using on portal, or at least a very small amount of portals.
<spoiler= Making a good pun is like trying to mind trick a Toydarian>
You just can't force it!
There you go!
I did as well, took me about two sets of Portals to get which lazers needed Portals.SomeBritishDude said:I'm shocked how many people found this puzzle hard, this was one the easiest puzzles in the game for me...
...I'm being "that guy" again arn't I?
The one with the blue gel too? Because that's the one I'm on about I think xDMikeyW said:Haha. Don't worry.
