I think it will be good, but inferior to Portal.

Nope. It's April 19th, not March 19th.

I'm one of those strange people who thought Portal was a fun little romp, but not the mind-blowing masterpiece everyone seems to claim it is. As such, I'm mildly optimistic about the sequel.

Looking forward to singleplayer more than co-op though. I hope that the singleplayer campaign is enjoyable.

Hmmmm, while Portal was a nice time sink, I just didnt find it to be the diamond endowed wonder everyone else seems to think it is.

Maybe I'll pick up Portal 2 in a year or so, or wait until it becomes free to download like the first one was.

I'm buying it for the singleplayer campaign. I'm really curious to see what happens, and I hope it tells what happened to GLaDOs and Aperature Science.

The co-op kind of sounds like it would be annoying though. You could likely get matched with an idiot. I could only stand it if I played with friends.

Not that the singleplayer won't be good, it's just that after emerging from my cave after finishing all the Half Life's (apart from 1) Portal and trying to get a game of TF2 where I wasn't getting owned by several turrets (fucking engineers) Maybe it's just the 360 version's fault

I was surprised by the amount of almost religious devotion to a 4-5 hour game about portals, i mean really? It's not that good is it?

I'm certain it will be awesome. I mean, this is Valve after all. However, I doubt they will be able to match the first one. Part of what made Portal 1 so good was the minimalistic design.

But hey, I would be happy to be proven wrong.

Agree. If someone can prove me wrong though, Valve can. I hope they do it, but I do not think they will.

As long as its not a step down as critical as DA2 I'll be happy

It will probably be fantastic. The only problem I think is that it seems that it might of lost the simplicity, yet brilliance of the original.
