When you use impulse 101 (cheat to get all guns) the half life display shows up, because its on the same engine and somehow it makes it pop up!

Granted, mine didn't even open the delay can of worms, but it's no more hopeful than yours.

I totally agree VALVe sucks at getting things out on time, but Gabe made a great comment once that goes like "a game is delayed for awhile, but sucks forever" which i find COMPELETY true!

thats exactly what i thought, i dont remember ever having the "200" displayed on the bottom left corner of the game ever

I may have to try it out myself.

From what I've heard this ending only plays if you have unlocked the new transmission recieved achievement so trying it out won't work without doing that first.

I've personally seen this ending in game, though you have no more reason to believe me then the video of course.

Enable cheats, start going through the map list to see if the there is a different ending map.

Decompile either that map or the last map for Portal and look at it in Hammer. Start looking for triggers or scripted sequences that might mention dragging (Valve is very bad at hiding secrets in their node names). If any of the nodes say so, then this is a legit ending and you might be able to find what scripted sequence it's playing (plus any cool clues as to what might be dragging Chell).

Actually, this ending is completely legit. I just browsed in the gcf portal content file and found this:

under sound/npc/PartyEscort.wav

Also, sound/ambient/machines/body_drag_01.wav (so is sound/ambient/machines/p1_drag_intro_01.wav) is present (and it's exactly the same sound in the video). This video is legit. So those that didn't believe it, you were wrong. Sorry.
