It's not that, It's just that portal wasn't the brilliant treasure trove of awesomeness that some people made it out to be. It was different and that's why I enjoyed it. I can't complain on how it'd be very similar to the first since it's really a puzzle game with a great storyline and a robot with multiple personalities and dark humor.orangebandguy said:When have Valve made a bad game?TheSeventhLoneWolf said:I spotted that too.Dudeakoff said::O
Half Life health display.
I'll look forwards to it, but I won't put too much faith in it.

Well that was completely uncalled for.theultimateend said:It is true. There is a lot of precedent for valve making bad games with bad sequels and bad expansions.SextusMaximus said:I don't want there to be a second Portal.
People focus on bad things and if Portal 2 turns out bad, then Portal will be known as the prequel to a bad game.
On the other hand, Portal 2 could be even more triumphant than Portal and knock everyone's socks off.
I'm lying out my ass currently.
At least I can't think of a valve game that didn't make me go "oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh."
We (we as in who I searched online) don't know. All I know was that the game updated, and now it's a few megabytes bigger.Dr. Paine said:Woah, wait, really? The Youth Counselor said:They updated Episode Two too. And what exactly was the Episode 2 update?
Ah. Also, what transmissions had Kliner and all? (Or have they even been uploaded to YouTube yet...)The Youth Counselor said:We (we as in who I searched online) don't know. Don't be so rude, it's not like console gamers are a different species.WhiteTigerShiro said:The console players can eat shit. I think i know it.John Funk said:Portal Has a New Ending
A second update to the three-year-old Portal has changed the ending to the game, throwing fuel on the fire of sequel rumors everywhere.
There was a second update to Valve's beloved Portal earlier today, after the update on Monday that spawned the feverish ARG [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/98776-Crazy-Valve-ARG-Teases-Portal-2-Update] that seemed to be hinting at a new Portal game - or something like that, anyway.
This update does very little other than changing the very end of the game. I'm not going to spoil it, but let's just say that it makes rumors about an unveiling of Portal 2 at next week's GDC seem significantly more likely.

MASSIVE SPOILER DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED: PORTAL OR HALFLIFE 2 EPISODE 2
Anyway here we go. Basically the borealis is made by apature science after their research facility was "destroyed". This is the research facility. Your character is the character in halflife 2 episode 3. Portal was background on this new character. The half life health shows a tie in. Your character may play a key part in the apeture science made borealis. Im almost 100% certain this is correct.

You have to listen to the audio very carefully and maybe even edit the audio files with a mixing program to hear it clearly. And even then it's mostly inaudible, although I recognize the voices.
Actually, it's the elitist assholes who start hurling insults when you post about having some technical issue that you don't know how to fix that give PC gamers a bad name. Apparently every problem that's ever been had on the PC is easy to fix, and if you don't know how to fix it then you're a complete moron who has no business playing on the PC.MiracleOfSound said:Don't be so rude, it's not like console gamers are a different species.WhiteTigerShiro said:The console players can eat shit. People making comments like that gives PC gamers a bad name.
Yes me making the joke that I really enjoy every Valve game I've ever played in a thread about Valve games to someone questioning the likelihood that a valve game will be good is uncalled for.SextusMaximus said:Well that was completely uncalled for.theultimateend said:It is true. Ever played Day of Defeat?
...I'm just saying I'm not sure where the series would go from the ending, there's a lot of space in the open world but it might take it a bit out of context.
