Portal is obviously set in the same universe as halflife so youre probably going to have to fight combine since the first game ended with you landing in a parking lot outside. Who knows, maybe you'll meet up with Gordon Freeman at some point.

This. Except I think portal happens before Gordon wakes up in his dystropian future. Perhaps the next portal will feature Chell exploring a world that has only recently fallen to the combine and features a backstory for the Borealis.

SWEET JESUS! We might find Chell frozen in the ice in episode 3!

Or we might find a skeleton of a long dead crewwoman who has a portal gun.

If any of these are the case, more kudos to Valve!

I don't think GLADOS was really damaged in the end. All those little balls that turned on behind the cake, aren't those her. I think she's just fine (or still alive if you will).

There's already one of those. It's called Portal: Prelude. It's fan-made and very, very well done. Its free too.

I'm still hoping for good ol' Doctor Freeman to find a portal gun one of these days (maybe while looking for that Aperture Science train).

As for the sequel...does the message that something is 'Still Alive' ring any bells?
